Hawkodile's eyes shot wide open, and he gasped loudly. He had no idea where we was.
His bodyguard senses kicked in, and a tingle went down his back. He shuddered, and started to look around.
WHOOSH!
He stood up, hopping into a fighting stance. "Who goes there?"
Another whooshing noise came from behind him. He spun around. "Show yourself!"
A few minutes of silence went on. Hawk didn't let his guards down.
"Hello, Hawkodile." A familiar voice said from behind him. Hawkodile screamed and turned around quickly.
"It's been a while since I last saw you."
His eyes went wide. Standing in front of him was his archnemisis and old friend Eagleator.
"What do you want?" Hawkodile retorted.
"I'm just here to see if the rumors are true." Eagleator said, walking over to him. "Have you really gone love-soft?"
Hawk's expression turned from angry to nervous quick.
"Your girlfriend is that science fox, or so I've heard."
"She's not my girlfriend!"
"Right. You just hang out with her all the time, help her with her weird experiments, and not to mention the fact that you've kissed her a few times."
"So? That doesn't make her my girlfriend!"
Eagleator started to laugh. "Oh, Hawkodile. Stop trying to hide it. Everyone knows your love for her now."
He put his hand on Hawkodile's shoulder. "Our sensei taught us three things: karate, self-defense, and to not fall in love. And here you are, neglecting his teachings."
Hawk shoved Eagleator away from him. "No! I was his most loyal student! So what if I can't help falling in love?"
He stood back up, but distancing himself from his old friend. "That just gives me an advantage in our next battle. When I come back, I'll be prepared, now that I know your one true weakness."
A troublesome grin went across his face. "In a while, Hawkodile!"
