Chapter 31: Let Me Help You

Hawkodile woke up, and realized he was still on the couch. He was wrapped in a blanket, and Dr. Fox still laid on his chest.

He decided not to search for the others and stay with his friend.

A few minutes later, Fox yawned and sat upright. Her fur was messy and tangled, and her glasses were set on the couch cushion to the side.

Hawkodile handed her her glasses.

"Guess you're up too."

"I guess so. Where is everyone else?"

"I don't know. I just got up, too."

Dr. Fox got off of her friend, and Hawk tried to stand up. His body still hurt like crap.

She held his hand and squeezed it tight.

"Let's go back to your dojo. You're still hurt."

Together they walked out of the castle, across the moat, and into Hawkodile's dojo.

She sat him down on his bed, and she sat next to him.

"Let me feel your hand."

She touched his hand, and Hawk tried his hardest not to show pain.

"I'll go get an icepack from the kitchen."

She was about to exit the dojo when he called out her.

"Dr. Fox, you don't have to do this."

"Of course I do. Your my friend."

She smiled, beginning to blush. "And... I love you."

She walked down stairs to the kitchen.

Hawkodile blushed for a brief moment.

"I-I love you too..."
