The ambulance arrived at the hospital, and Dr. Fox went into a room to answer a few questions while everyone else loaded out Hawkodile.
"So, what happened?" The nurse asked.
"Well, me and my friend live at the castle with Princess Unikitty and her little brother, Puppycorn. They tried to cook, but the kitchen caught on fire. As their bodyguard, my friend ran in to protect them, and got burned badly. He didn't evacuate safely, and the oven blew up while he was still in the kitchen."
"Did the princess and Puppycorn get out?"
"Yes. He threw them out of the room before the oven exploded."
"Did anyone else get hurt?"
"No. It was just those three."
"OK. Thank you for your time."
Dr. Fox was escorted out of the room.
"Wait, will he be OK?"
"We'll finish treating his burns and wrap them up, and get out all the smoke he inhaled. He'll probably be able to come home in a couple of days, given how much burns he has."
"Thank you." Fox said.
Hawkodile was put in the hospital room, and she followed him closely.
"We'll let you have 5 minutes with him." The nurse informed. "Then you should go home."
She was left alone with her friend.
"Can you speak?" She asked.
He coughed.
"So that's a no..."
She smiled. "I really hope you get better."
Hawkodile smiled too, and he put his hand on her cheeks.
She gently put her hand on his, not wanting to hurt him any further.
They stayed like that for a while before Fox had to leave.
"Be brave..." She said and waved goodbye to her friend.
