"She loves me... she loves me not. She loves me..." Hawkodile was picking off the petals on a sunflower.

"She loves me not. She loves me... she loves me not." He continued to pick them off, and when he got to the last one, he stopped, staring at it.

"She loves me..."

He took a deep breath. "OK,  Hawkodile. You are going to talk to her, and you are going to tell her how you really feel."

He looked at himself in a mirror. He held a bouquet of daisies firmly in his hands.

Do it.

Dr. Fox decided to measure herself. "First I was 3 foot 7, and now I am... 2 foot 3."

Her crush wasn't too bad, actually. Not as bad as Hawkodile's...

"Hello, Dr. Fox."

She turned around and saw her friend and a scientific marvel of boredom, Richard.

"Oh! Hi, Rick."

Richard squinted hard at her. "You seem different."

Fox backed up. "What? I... uh... um..."

"You seem smaller."

"SMALLER? I'M NOT SMALLER!"

"Then what are you doing with the measuring tape?"

Fox looked at the measuring tape and back at Richard. "Nothing."

He squinted harder. "You have a crush, don't you."

Dr. Fox waved her hands as if she were telling him to back away. "N-No I don't! I am perfectly fine."

"You can tell me who it is. I won't tell anyone."

Fox stopped waving her hands and sighed. "You're right. I do have a crush. But I don't want to tell you who it is."

Richard lifted up a love note sitting on her desk. "Is this supposed to be sent to him?"

She shook her head. "No. That one was actually sent to me a few days ago."

"Have you opened it?"

"Well... no..."

He took off the sticker and lifted the note out.

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

My love grows stronger

Everyday for you

"That's an awful lot like the note I wrote for..."

"For who?"

"For... no one. No one at all."

She shooed Richard out of the lab. "Thank's for visiting!" She said and slammed the doors.

Dr. Fox picked up the note again and read it.

"Could... Hawkodile be the one that sent me this note?"
