"Punch! Punch! Backfist!" Hawkodile called out the moves as he attacked his punching bag.
He did a roundhouse kick before getting back in his boxing stance.
"Hawkodile, I need to talk to you." A deadpanned voice said, and Hawkodile screamed.
"Rick! What - What are you doing here?"
"I just said I needed to talk to you."
Hawk sat down on his bed. "What do you need to talk to me about?"
"FeeBee."
"Oh!" He started to get sweaty.
"I know you don't actually love her."
"What do you mean? FeeBee is so, uh, cute! And she loves... flowers!" He picked up some daisies out of his vase that was on his nightstand. He sniffed them, and their aroma filled the room. "Mmm! They smell so... romantic!"
Richard raised his eyebrows. "First of all, you don't even like daisies. I don't know why they are in your room in the first place!"
Hawkodile scratched his head looking to the side. "They were for..."
"For your ACTUAL crush."
Hawk couldn't recover from that sentence. "I - uh -"
Richard floated over to his rack of weapons.
"Wait, don't touch those!"
He scooted them all over, revealing his drawing of his only true love, Dr. Fox.
Rick raised an eyebrow. "Can you explain these?"
"OK FINE! YOU GOT ME!" Hawkodile said, covering his face in his boxing gloves. "I don't love FeeBee! I love Dr. Fox!"
"How did you confess your feelings to her when she still thinks you have a crush on FeeBee?"
"She told me to practice on her, and a meteor shower happened, and she got distracted, and..."
"And she didn't pay attention to you returning to normal size."
The bird sighed. "Yeah."
"So that's why you've been sad lately. You feel bad for lying to us."
Hawk slowly nodded.
"You know, if she got distracted, they could come back any day now."
"No, they won't! I confessed to her and I am normal, end of story."
Richard set his body down right next to his friend. "You're afraid. You don't want them to come back."
"Well of course I don't! That was a nightmare!"
Rick floated back up. "Talk to her. Tell her how your really feel. If your afraid, then maybe you need to do everything in your power to stop it."
He flew right out of the dojo and Hawkodile curled up in a ball.
"I can't, Richard. I can't."
