"Silas..."

"Silas..."

I kept hearing the name being called in a soft hum. Suddenly a pull of pressure rose inside of me, I basked in the glorious feeling. I was slowly coming to consciousness. My eyes fluttered open and found a lust-driven Silas on top of me. I soon realized that the soft hum was my own moans.

"Good morning love," Silas greeted while panting and pumping in and out of me. Leaning down, he connects his lips with mine. There was so much happening. I was still trying to lose my drowsiness in the mix of all the pleasure. Silas thrusts deep inside with a little more power this time. Before I had time to process, the orgasm shot through me like lightening and I couldn't do or say anything.

Allowing me to catch my breath, Silas pulled out after his release. After throwing the condom away, he crawled back into bed with me. I had yet to say anything as he planted soft kisses along my bare shoulder.

"You okay?" He was being so tender.

"Yes, just relaxed. I think sleepy sex might be my new favorite thing." A soft chuckle escaped him and I turned to face him, so I could catch a glimpse of it. The sight made me smile. Looking down at his chest, I let my hands glide along it leisurely.

I laid there having my fill of him. Somehow or another, my thoughts crept up on me. What we did last night was so intimate. Sure, I've had sex before, but none of them compared to Silas. I told him I was ready to be with him, but after last night I don't know if I am.

You have to stop running. My subconscious spoke up. I mentally rolled my eyes. Nobody asked you, but she was right. She is me, so I guess I'm right.

Dragging my eyes up to his, Silas was already looking at me. I smile shyly as I climb on top of him and take his lips in mine. His soft groan gave me chills.

Eventually I break our kiss, despite his protests. "I have to get ready for work."

"No."

Flipping us over, he seizes my neck with kisses. I laugh before biting my lip and letting the soft moans flow out freely. His hard penis was brushing against my opening and I was growing increasingly turned on. If I didn't stop this, I was going to be late for work. The bigger part of me didn't care, but I forced Silas off to the side anyway.

"I have to." Standing up, I realize my lack of clothing and use my hands to cover myself. I have no idea why I'm being bashful. We literally just had sex, but it was something about the way his eyes traveled across my body, leaving scorch marks in their wake, that made me want to cover up.

A smug grin appeared on his face at my attempt to hide my body. Meanwhile, he's laid there in all his glory.

"I don't know why you're being so coy love. I already seen and tasted you."

A heated blush appeared on my face at his blunt statement. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he pulls me to him. Silas' hands begin running all over my body. His mouth comes into contact with one of my erect nipples and a gasp escapes my lips. His large hand on my back, pushing me close to him.

Once he releases my nipple, he locks his eyes with mine. "And I will never get enough." Bringing his palm down on my ass with a slap, I squeal. "Now go shower."

I bite my lip and hurry into the bathroom.

"Hey, I'm driving myself today, so you don't have to worry about dropping me off," I say while pouring coffee in my on-the-go cup. Silas steps out of the guest bedroom in a sharp grey suit coupled with a black button down. His jacket hung open and the top two buttons of the shirt were left unbuttoned.

My eyes greedily roamed over him. My tongue grazed over my top lip followed by my teeth skimming over the bottom.

"Keep looking at me like that, you will not be going to work today." I flash him a smile before offering him a cup of coffee. He accepts. "Anyway, I'm taking you to work."

"No, really. I want to drive. Plus, I have some things to do after work." Slipping my phone into my purse, I grab my keys off the counter.

"What things?" He inquires as we walk out and towards the lobby.

"Nosy much?" I tease as I walk towards my car. Sitting the cup on top of the car, I unlock the door. Silas spins be around to face him.

"Tell me."

"I want to do some shopping." Reaching up, I grip his jaw and bring his face down to mine. Our lips connected gingerly. Here we stood, completely entranced in one another. Smiling, I pull back and open the car door. Silas hands me my coffee as I get inside.

"Have a good day," he adds. I bid him the same before he saunters towards his Merc. I watch dreamily before starting the engine and speeding off down the road.

Today was super busy. Thoughts of last night and this morning with Silas kept filtering through my brain, making it hard for me to focus. More importantly, launch day is next Monday. The launch party is this weekend, which is why I'm going shopping after work. I breezed through the day, despite the tension and stress in the air. I was super excited for this party. It's been awhile since I got the chance to actually dress up and go out and I don't mean to the club.

Just as I was finishing up the drafts for a new client, Mr. Baker popped around the corner and approached my desk. Seeing his face reminded me of our last meeting. Honestly, I wanted to clear the air between us. I stood and gathered my things.

"Mr. Baker," I greeted. He nodded his head in acknowledgment.

"A moment Ariah?" I took a deep breath and nodded. "I'll walk you out." We began the journey downstairs. In the elevator, we stood in awkward silence. At least I thought it was awkward.

"What is it you wanted to discuss?"

He turned so that he was facing me. "I'd like to apologize for my behavior yesterday morning. I was completely out of line and I hope that you will forgive me."

I was shocked. I didn't expect him to apologize. I smiled and nodded. "Water under the bridge, sir."

"Please, call me Adam." I nodded. Adam Baker. I repeated the name in my head, testing it out. The doors of the elevator opened and we stepped out.

"I'd like to apologize as well. I was quite rude." A soft chuckle came from him. I watched in confusion.

"Yes you were. I've never had a woman put me in my place like that before. To say I was shocked would be an understatement." My face got heated and I looked away.

"Right, like I said. I apologize."

"No need. I appreciate your honesty." Mr. Baker or Adam, as I should say, stood there staring at me for a moment and I began to shift uncomfortably.

"Okay, well I should get going." I smile sheepishly. "Have a good night Mr. Baker."

"Adam."

"Right. Adam. Sorry. Have a goodnight Adam."

"You too Ariah."

I dug my keys out my purse as I walked to the car. Once inside, I looked in the rear view mirror to back up, but instead found a familiar black Mercedes parked behind me. Pulling out my phone, I dialed his number and waited for him to answer while I pulled out of the park.

"You know, it's not safe to talk and drive." His smooth voice filtered through the car speakers as my phone connected to the Bluetooth.

"Don't you mean text and drive?"

I stopped at the traffic light and he pulled up to my left side. His smug grin set firmly in place.

"Both," he responded.

"You want to race?" I raised my eyebrow at him and he cocked his right back.
