"I don't want to hurt your feelings love." I laughed and watched as he shook his head.

The traffic light, to the right, was now switching from yellow to red. Silas began revving his engine and the smile on my face was unwavering.

"You know, I've been thinking about last night all day." I let the words flow out seductively.

"Have you now?" Silas stopped revving his engine upon my confession and glanced over at me. The light turned green and I pushed my foot down on the gas. I couldn't help the laughter that bubbled out of me. The cursing under his breath only served to fuel it.

We were weaving in and out of traffic like madmen. I spotted the mall I wanted to shop at and took a sharp right turn into the parking lot. Silas was right on my tail. I slowed down and found a park. He followed suit. I got out the car and walked around to meet him. Silas grabbed my arm and put me up against his car before attacking my lips.

Wrapping my arms around his neck, I moan into his eager kiss. His hands slide down to my waist and begin tickling me.

"No, no, no. Please," I begged through laughter. I struggled to free myself from his grip until he eventually let me go.

"That's for cheating." I rolled my eyes and began walking toward the building. "Why are we here?"

"I'm here because I need to find a new dress. I don't know why you're here." He quickly caught up to me and took my hand in his.

"I'm here because my girlfriend is here." A profound blush made its way onto my face. My cheeks reddened and I struggled to hide the giddy smile on my face.

"How was your day?" We entered the mall and I already knew where I wanted to go so I simply dragged Silas along with me.

"Productive. I spent majority of the day consulting with company directors and shareholders." I looked up at him right when he yawned.

"You don't have to tag along. I know you're tired." Bringing our hands up to his mouth, he places a kiss on the back of mine.

"I want to be here. Plus, I don't wanna lay in the bed without you being in it." I smiled and walked into the boutique. My hand slowly slipped out of Silas' as I began my search.

The boutique was full of beautiful dresses and gowns. I wandered around the store struggling to decide what kind of dress I should wear. My indecisiveness was kicking in at full force. An attendant came up to me and offered her assistance.

"Do you know what kind of look you're going for?" I shook my head. Turning around, I noticed Silas looking around at the dresses, seemingly interested.

"What kind of event is it?"

"Formal. Launch party for my job." She was about to speak, but Silas walked up beside me and her eyes were glued to him.

"I didn't know you were going to that."

"Wait, you're going?" I turned to face him.

"I have to. It would look bad if I didn't show up." I nodded. That made sense. I hadn't even thought about the fact that he might be there.

"You don't sound too thrilled about it."

"I'm not." He admitted. "However, now that I know you're going, I'm looking forward to it."

I rolled my eyes playfully and gave my attention back to the worker who was staring dreamily at Silas. I laughed inwardly because I knew exactly how she felt. Silas cleared his throat, effectively snapping her out of her trance. She smiled politely before showing me different items.
