There's a part of my past that I never wanted to remember, let alone drag her in with me. I left all of it behind and moved on for a reason. But I had no choice. Life has a funny way of teaching you lessons. You can't escape your demons. You either face them head on or continue the viscous cycle of running and being found. I glance over at her. How can one person be so beautiful? She's been through so much, yet she remains strong. I don't deserve her love or loyalty, yet she gives it wholeheartedly and without mercy or forgiveness. I would give anything to protect her and my unborn child. Like the wolves, they were my pack and god bless anyone who got in my way.
