"I'm going to make love to you until the sun comes up."
The words have been replaying in my head all morning. Make love? I mean with the way we interacted last night it was far more than having sex or fucking. The way he demanded my eyes as I experienced the euphoric orgasm. He stroked deep while whispering endearments in my ear. It was so intense. There was another element added. Connection. The energies flowing between our two bodies last night could power a city. It wasn't just about having an orgasm. We bonded on an emotional level. The vulnerability I experienced was more than my heart could bear. I was like an open book and Silas was reading all the pages. I could feel my body heating up just thinking about it.
"You okay?"
I drag my eyes up to find Silas standing above me. Forcing a smile, I nod.
"Yea, I'm okay. Just doing some last minute packing before I hit the road."
"I'd rather you not hit the road at all, but I guess I can't always get what I want."
I stand and pat his cheek softly. "See, you're learning."
After taking one last look around the room, I'm satisfied and ready to go. I go to grab my suitcase, but Silas beats me to it. We make our way to my car after locking the door to my apartment.
"Be safe. Call me if you get lost. Even if you don't get lost, call me anyway. Don't text and drive. Be safe."
Laughing, I cut him off with an extensive kiss and tight hug. "Okay dad."
He rolls his eyes and helps me into the car. "You are the most precious thing in my life right now. I would hate for anything to happen to you."
Blushing, I grab his hand. "I'll be safe and I promise to call you throughout the drive."
He nods before placing a kiss on my forehead and sending me on my way. I'll admit it, I kind of wanted him to come along, but I'm going to be gone awhile and I know he has a business to run. I texted my mom letting her know I was on my way before I pulled off.
Music blasting in the car, the open road in front of me, and the summer air blowing through the windows are all contributing to my ever growing mood. I'm so happy to be visiting my family. I can't wait to tell my mom about how I took her advice. She's going to be so proud.
After I crossed the NC border, I made sure to call Silas. We talked for a while just about any and everything. Thankfully, talking to him kept me awake. I was really tired.
I was about an hour away when I receive a phone call from a number I didn't recognize.
"Hello?"
"Hello, is this Miss Ariah Miller?" An unfamiliar yet formal female voice filled the car speakers.
"Yes, may I ask who is calling?"
"Yes, my name is Barbara. I'm calling from Region Medical. Your mother has been admitted and your name is on the list of emergency contacts. I attempted to contact a Charles Miller; however, I wasn't able to reach him."
The hospital? "Why was she admitted?" My voice was panicked and my heart beat was increasing.
"I'm sorry Miss Miller. I'm not at liberty to divulge such details over the phone. However, if you were to come in, I will happily discuss them with you."
"I'll be there." Hanging up, I begin speeding down the freeway at a frantic pace. My mom is in the hospital. Where the hell is Charlie? What about Jade? Oh my god, why won't this car go any faster?!
I'm weaving in between cars and going well over the speed limit. I rush onto the exit. I hadn't noticed the stop sign in the process of me speeding and distraught over the situation.
