Sunday, March 14"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"It's to protect her," she answers, not looking at him. Her face bears no emotion. "Do you think we have a choice?"
"If we cut off all communication with them-"
"Hear yourself!" She bellows, tears pricking at her eyes. "That's impossible. They're inseparable."
He bites his lip, unable to form another argument. "Let's go."
They Apparate to the manor, hand in hand.
The couple smile nervously at their arrival. They weren't expecting them. "Now is not a good time. We're expected a visit from the Dark Lord."
"We would like to speak to the Dark Lord," the woman answers, her once brightly lit eyes narrowed and devoid of any emotion.
Sweat begins to form on the other mother's forehead. "What is this?"
"We would like to join him."
"Wonderful news," a new voice speaks, making the couple at the door stiffen. "Bring them in."
"Yes, my lord."
The new couple comes in, humbling themselves at the sight of Lord Voldemort. The man subtly wipes sweat off his forehead.
"Welcome, welcome," he says, teeth baring threateningly. "It's always terrific news to hear newcomers. You wish to join our side?"
"Yes," the woman speaks up.
He smiles but the couple can't detect any warmth. "Names? Blood status?"
They give their answers, hoping for the best response.
"Beg me."
The couple steal a glance from each other before answering.
"Please, my Lord. Please."
"Very well. Your arms."
The mother holds out her arm first and the man steps up by instinct. "Not to worry, she will be fine," The Dark Lord says.
"I'll be fine," the woman repeats in an icy voice.
When she is marked, tears prick her eyes and she bites her quivering lip to not cry out. At the last second, a tear slip but when he is finished, she wipes it away and rolls back down her sleeve.
The man steps up next, with not as much confidence as the woman.
He cries out first while his wife watches on with pain and humility. Her eyes close at his calls.
He rejoins the woman and she pets his back softly. The Dark Lord barks out a sheer, ruthless laugh.
"Welcome, Missus Freda and Mister Jon (L/N). Do not disappoint me."
Another tear threatens to spill from the woman's eyes but he doesn't let it. "We gladly await our first mission, my Lord."

I smile at my letter soup. I didn't even know they served this type of thing, but I can't help smiling about it.Everything just seems so much more light and joyful since I became Evan's girlfriend.
"Someone looks happy," Cynthia comments, smile mirroring my own.
"Yeah, uh," I stammer. "Evan and I are going out today. Hogsmeade."
"How romantic," she coos, leaning back in her seat. "Where are you going?"
