Amanda Davis is sent to the infirmary when everyone else is watching the Quidditch game between Gryffindor and Slytherin.
And to my surprise, I'm not the one who hexed her.
I have no desire to play or watch Quidditch. It's a dirty sport made for dirty players who enjoy throwing tantrums and balls at each other. It was basically invented for chaos.
So naturally, when everyone else is at the Quidditch field, I am in the Ravenclaw common room with only one or two other students. The book I finished needs to be returned and I don't have anyone else to do it.
Sneaking out of the common room, I begin my way to the library.
When I exit a hallway, a group of girls come out of the bathroom next to me. I pretend not to notice them and continue my walk until I realize some of them are following me.
"Oi!" It's Amanda.
I ignore her, like always.
"Hey, brainy where do you think you're going?" She shouts down the hallway. The girls around her laugh nervously. "You never answer me. Do I need to show you how to talk?"
"No, but I wish I knew how to shut you up," I mutter quietly. She hears.
"Oh!" She gasps dramatically and the girls around her giggle.
What was that spell that got someone quiet? What was the name?
I clearly can not figure it out. Amanda and her cronies kept getting closer and closer so I went to find a teacher. Why does it seem like everyone is outside? "Arabelle," Amanda cooed.
"Leave me alone!" I snarl.
They laugh at me and Amanda comes to strut beside me. "You are so rude. Don't your parents ever teach you manners?"
I run. As fast as I can go, Amanda doesn't bother to follow me. When I'm in a safe distance, I turn back around and shout, "Langlock."
Oh god. It misses her and hits her friend.
They turn on me angrily while their friend tries to breathe through her mouth and fails. "Dolores! Are you okay?"
I take this chance to run to the library.
When I'm there, I see yet another Slytherin that I recognize. Her name's Cassia Greengrass, and I believe she may be friends with Amanda Davis.
I immediately avoid her and hide under a table so Amanda and her other friends can't find me. Cassia turns to me, eyebrows furrowed. "Why are-"
"ARABELLE (L/N)!"
"Merlin, go away!" I tell her. She frowns and looks back at the girls who just entered.
Amanda at the front, the girls begin to look around for me. I try to think of a concealment spell, but nothing comes up. What spell do I know that can help me??
"What are you doing?" Cassia asks.
"Looking for (L/N), of course," Amanda scoffs. "She used 'Langlock' on Dolores."
