It's been 7 in the evening and Sage has not been coming home. Sabi ng ibang maid, nagpaalam raw ito pumunta sa mga baka, pero nang puntahan namin ito doon ay wala naman.
Where the hell are you, Sage Serena?
"Saan kaya nagsuot ang batang iyon?" Natatarantang tanong ni Manang.
"For sure, she's out there in the fields. Naligaw siguro." Analie said.
"Bakit kasi labas ng labas alam namang pwede siyang maligaw?"
"Stop bitching around Ecka. Not this time!" Suway ni Marvelos.
"Stop it, all of you. Hindi kayo nakakatulong!" Ani naman ni Alessia.
"Alessia's right. Can we just wait silently?" Lament says as he drank his glass of juice.
Napailing na lamang ako sa kanilang lahat. We've been waiting for an hour. Dad is in the fields with his bodyguards searching for Sage.
"Gusto niyo ho ba ng maiinom, Ma'am?" Manang Tanya asked while offering a glass to Mom. She took it.
Kanina pa siya tahimik. Hindi ko alam kung anong tumatakbo sa utak niya. She doesn't seem worried but she doesn't seem okay too.
"Are you alright Mom?" Nilapitan ko ito. She nodded and smiled.
"Of course." She nodded before drinking her juice.
Tumunog ang isang hindi pamilyar na ring tone. We saw Analie grab her phone from her pocket. "Uncle is calling." Pinakita niya ang tawag.
"Hello? Is everything alright there Uncle?" Sagot nito.
Hindi namin rinig ang sagot ni Dad because the phone is not in a loud speaker. Analie nodded as if Dad can see her. "Okay, that's a relief."
We all sighed. Mukhang nahanap naman si Sage.
"Opo, sige po." Ani Analie. "Monsy, Uncle said he texted you."
Kaaagad kong kinuha ang cellphone ko sa bulsa. I saw a text from my Dad telling that Sage was found. Nakasilent ito kaya hindi ko napansin. Pinakita ko ito kay Mom. She just nodded as if it was just a normal text.
"Okay Uncle. Thank you po." Analie answered before putting an end to the call. "She was found." Deklara niya.
We all nodded.
After almost 10 minutes, dumating na sina Dad. Behind him was Sage with her messy hair and a dirty face.
"Sage, where have you been?" Tanong ni Alessia.
"She's been in the fields. She got lost in the way dahil sa baboy ramo, but what's important is she's safe now." Ani Dad. "Sage you can now go up-- "
Natigilan kaming lahat nang biglang tumayo si Mommy at sinalubong si Sage ng isang malakas na sampal.
"Mom!" Suway ko.
"Mariclaire! What have you done?" Sigaw ni Daddy.
"You're such an irresponsible child!" Screamed Mom. Sa sobrang lakas ng sampal ay pulang pula ngayon ang pisngi ni Sage.
Dad hold Mom, habang nilapitan ko naman si Sage. "Are you alright?" I asked. She didn't said a word.
"What are you thinking, going out through the fields?! Tignan mo ang ginawa mo, napakalaking abala! Hindi ka ba nahihiya sa Tito Dos mo?"
"Honey, stop. Let the child rest! She didn't mean to get lost. She just wanted to wander--"
"Well, dapat niyang malaman na hindi sa lahat ng oras dapat maggala! And she didn't even tell anyone about it. Ganyan ka ba napalaki roon?! Sino ang nagturo sayo niyan--"
