MONSERRAT
We're in the middle of sleeping when I suddenly heard an unfamiliar loud song playing outside.
Napahawak ako sa ulo ko. I'm still sleepy but I can't sleep with that loud music playing at the background.
I rise from the bed.
I smirked at the sight of her.
"What's that sound?!" Inis niyang tanong. I shrugged my shoulder because I, myself, doesn't know what's going on.
"It's so freakin loud. Look, the walls are vibrating." Dumako tuloy ang tingin ko sa dingding. Sage is right. The walls are vibrating.
"Gising na kayo?!" Mrs. Salvador suddenly entered the house with a bag of vegetables. I immediately went to her and took the bag. "Naku, ako na!" She screamed and went straight to the kitchen.
The music suddenly stopped. Sage and I look at each other.
"What was that sound, Mrs. Salvador?" Sage asked a bit sleepy and walk towards us.
"Ah iyon ba? Alarm yun!" I frowned from what I heard. Alarm?
"Alarm? Bakit po may alarm na?" Tanong ko. Mrs. Salvador looked at me confused.
"Ha? Matagal na kaming may alarm, ah." Aniya. Tinignan niya kami ni Sage at tila ba may naalala. "Oo nga pala! Hindi niyo kasi narinig ang alarm kahapon! May alarm din kahapon!
Sage and I looked at each other. She rolled her eyes at me. I glanced back at Mrs. Salvador who's know putting same plates on the table.
Sage also helped her.
"Ate Gina?" Someone opened the door. She entered the living room and saw us at the kitchen.
"O, Maria?" Mrs. Salvador said. The woman looked at us. I greeted her with a smile. It's good to see how everyone just comfortably walk straight inside the house like they know that they're always welcome.
The woman asked. I saw Sage looked at the woman. She didn't greet her with a smile or anything.
"Oo, bakit ka naparito?" Mrs. Salvador walked towards the woman.
"Andyan na po sila Lieutenant!" The woman said. Napatigil naman ako sa narinig.
Mrs. Salvador looked at us shocked. "Ganun ba? Ibig sabihin nandyan na ang mga sasakyan?" She asked.
I looked at her. 'You go' – she muttered. I nodded from what she said.
Mrs. Salvador said.
