"Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from making bad decisions."

-Mark Twain

It's been a week now since Eli has come out of his room. Everyday Eve goes knocking at his door to get him to come out, getting the same response every time, Go away.

Eve tries once again, on the fourth knock the door swings open. Eli stands at the opened door, his beard untamed, his hair is sticking in different directions, and he was wearing a gray T-Shirt with food and stains spots down the front of it as if he has worn it for the whole week, he was in his boxers, with one sock pulled up around his calf, the other sock missing.

"Hey! You finally opened the door!" Eve lunges forward to hug him as she stops halfway as the stench of body odor and alcohol grow worse the closer she gets to him. "Whoa bub, have you not been showering?"

"What's the point? Who am I trying to impress?" Eli begins pushing the door to close it.

Eve stretches her arm out and stops him.

"No, you're not doing this to me! You have to pull yourself together."

"I don't have to do a damn thing."

"Why are you acting this way?"

"Mom died, then I lost Raven. Again. She was the only person that made me forget about mom and she made it easy. She left me. She has a kid. She has a fiancé. She lied to me. And I don't even care about that. She left me!"

"You can't stay in your room locked away though; this isn't healthy."

"I know she will say that I left her before, that she has to go through this too, but I didn't have a choice. But her? She has a choice, and it wasn't me."

"She can't just drop her kid and fiancé to run off to someone she hasn't seen in 11 years, that's not how this works!"

"If mom didn't pull me away from her, that would be me, that would be my baby, that would be my life! But no, this... this is my life."

"You can't blame mom for that, stop! You're just hurt and trying to blame someone else. Mom doesn't deserve that!"

"You're right, It's that goddamn, no good, worthless, sack of scum Rory's fault."

Eli makes his way over to his bed and pulls out a safe and messes with the dials for a few seconds until it unlocks and pulls out a black 9MM, he turns around and heads toward the door where Eve is still standing.

Eve throws her hands up and backs away.

"I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch like I should have done a long time ago!"

Eve stretches her arms out blocking the door.

"I can't let you do this; it isn't worth spending your life in prison. Put it down, bub!"

Eli turns around and launches the gun at the window, shattering it into a thousand piece.

"He fucking deserves it, he doesn't deserve to breathe, why does he get to live? He destroyed everyone's lives! You, me, mom!"

"I know, I know, but you can't just go do that, do you know how much trouble you would get into? You'll never have a chance at anything then!"

"Think about it though sis, the night he snuck in your room, the night he tried to take your innocence! I know you remember it! I know it sticks in the back of your mind everyday of your life. He had your pants off already! You're lucky I walked in when I did. Let me go kill him, let me give him what he deserves!"
