KANG BYEOL POV

I walk over to the bench sitting next to Kyeongso tiredly. Why did he even want to come? He always ruins my hangouts.

"I'm doing it, Kang! Look!" Jeon calls happily, finally two feet off the ground on my skateboard. I roll my eyes but give an emotionless thumbs-up, deciding entertaining him might be the quickest option available.

"Hey, Kang? Can I ask you something?" Kyeongso says quietly. I turn to look at him, noticing his breath suddenly hitching as he stares at me funny.

"Yeah?" I ask him clueless. He breaks eye contact awkwardly clearing his throat. "Um, not to be mean by why is he here? He doesn't seem to know how to skate."

I sigh, turning to look at Jeon who is now inching very slowly on the board, everyone staring at him funny. "I don't fucking know. But he's crashing our hangout and I don't like it," I pout, leaning back on the bench.

He chuckles quietly, looking over at him as well. "I don't like it either," He leans back as well, making our hands touch lightly.

Despite the warmth of the sun I feel my cheeks heat up further, looking away flustered. It's such a small act but it gives me butterflies.

Jeon walks over all of a sudden, grabbing my hand and forcing me off the bench. Kyeongso gets up to protest but we've walked too far away from the bench already. "Come on, Kang! You're supposed to teach me a cool trick today," he exclaims.

"And you weren't even supposed to come with us today, Jeon!" I look at him exasperated. "Besides, you wouldn't be able to pick up a trick in a day."

I turn my head to Kyeongso who's just sitting back down, an unreadable expression flashing across his face for a second. I give him an apologetic smile, to which he smiles back cutely and waves.

"Well I want to know how to do that," he says, pointing to the girl zooming past us, crouching slowly before lifting off and landing on the ground once more.

"Simple flip, fine Jeon," I sigh. I begin explaining how to do it, demonstrating on the board. Once I land back on the ground I look to him making sure he's following. Instead of watching the board I'm met with his eyes sparkling as he stares into mine.

"D-do you get it?" I ask softly, not even sure if he managed to hear it. "Yeah," he breaths out, moving closer to me now. I feel my heart start beating faster. I shut my eyes tightly as he gets near my face, only to feel his breath tickle my nose for a second before it's gone.

When my eyes open once more I see him coming back up from crouching down to take the skateboard, eyes shimmering with amusement. "What's the matter, Kang?" He asks mischievously.
