"What the fuck!"Within seconds Jungkook flies off me, looking shocked at an appalled Haru. She looks back and forth at the both of us, unable to utter a proper word.
"Wait, Haru—"
Before any of us can react, she marches up to him and the next thing we hear is loud palm meeting cheek.
Jeon holds his burning cheek tightly, eyes watering from the pain. "Ow, Haru..." his eyes widen terrified at her.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing to my best friend? You have a girlfriend for fucks sake!" She angrily yells, shoving him back as she stands in front of him protectively.
"Actually, Haru—"
"You are so goddamn lucky I caught him slipping, Kang. Try anything and say goodbye to ever having kids in the future Jeon Jungkook," she pokes his chest, the fury in her eyes sending chills down even my spine.
"I like him, Haru!" I yell.
Her body stiffens and she's silent for what seems like forever. I can tell she's trying not to be winded by surprise at the sudden big revelation. I sigh, feeling embarrassed all of a sudden. I was planning on taking time to tell her, but now that the cat's out of the bag I feel flighty and highly unprepared.
"I like him, Haru," I tell her softer this time. She looks back at me, eyes softening as she meets my gaze. "Say something please, your silence is deafening."
Her eyes dart back and forth in conflict before facing the frightened male once more, his eyes shifting in emotions as he looks at me with an unreadable gaze for a second. "What about you, Jeon?"
He snaps back at her, cheeks flaming red like cherry. "I... I like her too," He stutters quietly. Her eyes narrow in disbelief as she prods him to go on. He sighs, body relaxing as his shoulders droop into a serious aura.
"My feelings are genuine," he begins shakily, somehow blurring the line on who exactly he's talking to. "I'd never hurt her or take advantage of her Haru I can promise you that."
Haru turns her bodily awkwardly, her gaze never leaving his eyes. "But you have, many times actually; hurt her," her mouth twists into a frown.
He winces at her statement but swallows it whole. "I know that. But I'm trying... I'm trying to be better."
The last part was almost breathless as a whisper and I know he's genuine. "B-but Chohee—"
"—Is emotionally blackmailing me to stay," he answers her quickly. "I don't think it's my place to say why, but it's the truth you have to believe me. Byeol means the world to me and I'm not letting her go, not when I've finally got her."
