KANG BYEOL POVIt was as if time stopped and everything aligned itself in place.
When Chohee started crying because Jungkook raised his voice at her ever so slightly, the moments he kicked me out of his house for her. It all made sense now.
"Oh," I don't know what to say.
He sighs, wiping his palm on his face. "She needs me, Byeol. I'm always there when she has an episode, but I don't know what to think anymore. Everytime I stand up to her she threatens me with it."
"I gave you so much shit for it without knowing what you were going through, I'm really sorry."
He intertwines his hand in mine, kissing it lightly. "It's not your fault. I did come off as an asshole all those times."
"You can't keep this up Jungkook you know that. Stop letting her dictate you, if not you'll end up giving away everything until there's nothing left of you and I—" I pause, feeling the tears gather in my eyes.
"I can't lose you too."
Without another thought I crush my lips against his, tasting salty with tears. He eagerly pushes back against me, holding me close as my hands snake their way into his fluffy chestnut hair. He taps the side of my thigh again, and I readily jump into his embrace.
I know I can trust him now. He catches me gratefully, holding my thighs close to him as he carries me to my bedroom. I start giggling looking up at his face as he towers over me on the bed.
"What's so funny?" he smiles lightly.
"You put me down gentler this time," my hands reach up to his face, now flashing with recognition. He starts laughing giddily, crashing down onto me once more. "Let me show you I really do care for you this time, Kang Byeol."
He shifts in his spot moving between my legs claiming my lips for himself, moving down to my jawline tenderly. I play with his hair softly, face heating up as I feel his hands roam my side.
Suddenly it dawns on me what we are doing. I've never gone this far before. My heart begins to race further, subconsciously pulling on his hair.
I feel his touch leave causing me to look up at his face innocently. He chews on his lower lip, eyes dilated as he stares down at me. "You're not ready yet, Byeol," he softly tells me, tucking fallen strands of hair behind my ear.
His cheeks blaze a hint of strawberry, readjusting his clothes as he moves away from me. "Wait, at least stay with me? We don't have to do anything," I call out to him desperate.
He turns around mischievously, a Cheshire grin on his swollen lips. "Now who was it that said I don't do this with my girlfriends?"
I roll my eyes, crossing my hands in my lap as I try to ignore the heat emanating from my cheeks. "Well good thing I'm not your girlfriend, am I? I mean if you don't want to spend the night with me you can just go, Jeon."
In an instant the bed dips as he crawls towards me once more, grinning as he wraps his arms around me. "Alright you win, Kang." he moves closer to my ear, whispering sensually. "And you're not my girlfriend, yet at least."
We stay like that for a while, trying to cherish the most of our moment together unsure when we'll have it again. "I want to help you, Jungkook. I'll help you out of it, just promise you won't leave me." He kisses the top of my head in response, tightening his grip on me.
As we fall asleep I set myself on a new mission: to dethrone the queen from the king.

Morning sunlight creeps into my room once more, the warmth on my face slowly startling me awake. I recall last nights moments with Jungkook, subconsciously feeling my lips.
As my eyes adjust to my surroundings and my awareness kicks in I realise I don't feel him lying next to me. My eyes begin to water, thinking last night's moments were just a sick joke played. "J-Jungkook?" I stand up quickly, leaving my room. Where is he?
It's only when I'm halfway down the stairs do I hear sizzling that puts my beating heart to ease. "Jungkook?" I call softer this time.
I reach the bottom, watching as he stares at the egg on the frying pan confused. I chuckle quietly, seeing how focused he is on it. My hand find their way to his torso hugging him from behind. "What are you doing, Jeon?"
He startles himself into realisation tensing in my arms. "I thought I'd wake up early to make breakfast but I forgot I don't know how to fucking cook."
I release him slowly looking at him in disbelief. "Really, not even an egg?" He looks away embarrassed, giving me full view of his reddened cheeks.
I push him aside, folding up the sleeves of my oversized shirt. "It's really easy, here," I begin showing him how am omlette's done, making sure to save his egg from getting burnt. He watches closely like a small kid next to me, even wow-ing as I flip the pan.
"You're so good at this," he marvels, biting into the omlette now. I chuckle as he chews like a chubby bunny. "When you live alone long enough you pick it up," I pinch his cheeks cutely. His mood sours a little, the smile on his face disappearing.
"What's wrong, Jungkook?" I stare into his eyes.
"I just wanted to make you breakfast for once but I screwed it up," he pouts. Cute.
I'm about to answer when his phone notifications go off suddenly. He groans picking it up reluctantly. I watch his expression slowly falter into a serious one, knowing exactly who disrupted his peaceful morning.
"I really need to go I think it's bad." he wipes his mouth and grabs his things. I watch helplessly as he gets ready to leave the house.
He almost makes it out the door when he paces back. "Did you forget something?" I ask confused. "Yeah," he breathes before stomping up to me and kissing me harshly over the kitchen counter. His sudden action gives me whiplash I have to hold his face in place. He pulls away finally, staring at my swollen red lips.
"I'm really trying, Byeol. Please give me time," he walks away guiltily. I sigh looking away, knowing this isn't going to be easy for me either.
