As soon as I open the door my beloved dog pounces on to me barking like mad. "Argh! I miss you too Kimchi," I chuckle as she licks my face.

"She sensed you guys coming up from the lawn," Ahjumma laughs a little, watching owner reunite with dog. I get up to hug her. "I missed you too, Ahjumma. Thanks for taking care of her."

She pats my back lovingly. "It's nothing, Byeol. Welcome home." She steps away from me, examining my face carefully. "So, anything interesting happen on the trip?"

Almost on reflex the blush creeps into my cheeks. "U-um, I..." I trail off. Suddenly I feel out of breath, recalling every disaster that happened within the last 48 hours.

"I'll take that as a yes. You don't have to tell me now, I'll just ask Jungkook later," she winks at me cheekily.

Suddenly I'm at a loss of words, helplessly staring dumbfounded at her. "O-okay."

She takes her dufflebag of her packed clothes and begins walking out. "I'll leave you to unpack. I believe I have lots to talk about with that son of mine, hm?" She chuckles, waving me off.

Shaking it off I walk upstairs, Kimchi trailing behind me happily. Carefully I lay the luggage on the ground, taking out my laundry. It's only when I lay the clean shirts on my bed do I notice a small package resting next to my star pillow.

It's beautifully wrapped in a white satin silk cloth, along with a small envelope on the side. I pull on the loose ends, carefully tugging it away to reveal a necklace with a simple star pendant.

"Wow," I breathe out, taking it into my hands. The envelope falls out at the same time, drawing my attention to it too.

For my beautiful star.

Jungkook... but how—

The window's open letting a breeze flow in. A warm feeling settles into my chest, holding the necklace close to my heart.

I can't believe he got me such a thoughtful gift. I read the letter again, smiling like crazy. There's a small arrow in the corner, naturally flipping the card over. In a messier unkempt handwriting there's more scribbled at the back.

Hope you wear it to the fireworks later.

If this is what love feels like, I never want to forget this feeling.

"I guess I better start getting ready for the festival, huh Kimchi?" I ruffle her head playfully. I take once last glance at my opened window, seeing the legs of a ladder leaning on the other side. I smile to myself, picturing him climbing up as stealthily as possible.
