Chapter Sixteen: Interview One

The day came for the dreaded interview. Jack and I had a date night so it didn't feel fair leaving Harrison with Lisa. Lisa kept assuring me that he would be fine. I tucked Harrison in one last time making sure he was completely asleep as we all climbed into Alex's jeep. I buried my face into my hands. I rubbed my face a few times before Alex pulled into a local coffee shop and ordered a few coffees to go. Alex handed me my cup of coffee while Jack held the carrier that had 4 other coffees in it.

"First interview in a while you excited?" Alex said looking back at me in the rearview mirror.

I just shrugged as Alex got on the freeway and began driving to our destination. Soon enough I saw Zack's car and Ryleigh. Ryleigh got out of the car and came over sliding into the middle seat as Zack climbed in and we sandwiched Ryleigh in the middle.

"Good morning Gaskarth, Barakat, and Urie." Ryleigh sounded too happy for six in the morning.

Zack however wore a smirk as he wrapped an arm around Ryleigh's shoulder. I glared at the pair as Jack passed Ryleigh her coffee and pulled Zack's water out of the door handing it to me. Zack thanked him while Ryleigh began to chug the coffee into her system.

"Ryleigh Dun you do not need coffee you are already wide away," I mumbled under my breath.

We walked into the building after Rian arrived. Rian took the final coffee from the carrier Jack had. I looked at Jack with a soft smile as he tugged me under his arms. I put my arm around his waist as we walked through the corridor. We found the first room we were doing an interview in. I shook hands with the man as we sat down and were told to make ourselves comfortable. Alex stood in the doorway making sure I was okay as the mic'd me up.

"I am fine Alex really," I gave him a soft smile as Jack was next to be mic'd up.

"I know I just want you to know I'm really proud of you," Alex said and wrapped me in a tight embrace as I fought the tears.

"I miss him so much," I whispered into Alex's chest.

"It'll get easier as the day goes along," Alex assured me as I nodded and went back into the room to start the interview.

Jack and the Interviewer were talking. I awkwardly stood there waiting for the interview to being. We took our seats but the interviewer put his hand out for me.

"Hi I am Jacob," He said and I shook his hand.

"I'm Logan but you already knew that," I said softly and licked my bottom lip as I felt Jack's hand on my lower back.

"Do you two want to get this started? We can wait a few more minutes and just talk so you can get a feel of the room or we can just start if you have another interview after this," Jacob asked.

"I mean I'm ready to start if you are?" Jack said looking at me as I nodded my head.

Jack traced shapes onto my back with his thumb. I looked at him as Jacob did his little introduction and the camera was pointed back towards us where I plastered on a fake smile.

"Today I have with me Jack Barakat from All Time Low and Logan Urie daughter to Brendon Urie and bandmate to Ryleigh Dun. Welcome guys we are pleased to have you!" Jacob said and Jack spoke first.

"We are happy to be here always nice to see you and your crew, Jacob."

"It's always nice to have familiar faces come back on the show every once and awhile. I believe we will be shooting something for a later episode with both your bands later today if I am correct?"

"Yeah, I think Ryleigh is going to be taken that interview as I have to go and do some recording," I spoke up and rubbed my sweaty palms on my jeans.

"Oh. That is understandable any way we are happy to have the two of you. How have you both been?" Jacob said in a friendly manner.

"We've been okay I'd like to say," Jack said looking at me as I nodded.

"I heard a little rumor that you two were expecting congratulations. Well, it appears you are no longer expecting but that baby is here. You have not yet released many details about your pregnancy Logan or the gender of the baby, name, or photos. Do you or Jack see yourself releasing any of the information soon?" Jacob asked looking directly at me.

"We made a decision to not release his name until he was over six months old. He just had a seven-month doctor appointment which was a few days ago. So I mean," I looked at Jack biting my lip.

Jack and I had debated not releasing Harrison's name until his first birthday really but decided we would come back to this at a later date. We had never really come back to the topic but it was something I was completely comfortable with. It was like photos of Harrison we had not released photos because we didn't want people to go after him if we went out on a date or to a show.

"I mean if you want to release it sweetheart we can release it," Jack said and I gave a soft nod.

"Are we getting the inside scoop on baby Barakat's name?" Jacob said as my smile went from fake to genuine.

"His name is Harrison Brae Barakat. Harrison was a name we both liked and Brae is a name that we picked because it was originally supposed to be Bacchus after the Roman god of wine. It was just a name we had picked no real set in stone reason why. I couldn't see a little boy being name Bacchus so I suggested Brae." I said and handed the conversation over to Jack.

"We might be releasing some photos of him at a later date unless you want to go ahead and show them a picture now. He is honestly the best thing ever. I mean falling in love with Logan is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Harrison just brought a whole new kind of love into my life that I didn't know." Jack said as I pulled out my phone to a photo Lisa had sent me.

"He is honestly my favorite thing. I love listening to him giggle and slap his hands together. I mean he is the cutest baby ever. Sorry being a little my kid is better but isn't that a new parent thing?" I said chuckling as Jack leaned over to kiss my cheek.

"I mean if you two want to share a photo of him we will hold off on showing it until you two post it. We could also blur out his face," Jacob said as I looked at my phone before turning it towards Jack.

Jack took my phone and looked at the photo and I couldn't help but want to place my head on his shoulder. I leaned into Jack and smiled up at him as Jack showed Jacob the photo.

"Currently he is with Alex's wife Lisa. Lisa offered to watch him for the day while we were here and then while Logan records," Jack said covering up for me.

"He is precious guys truly beautiful. Where does he get the red hair from?" Jacob asked as we both shrugged a chuckled.

"Not a clue but I love it. We don't know but he just lights up my world. I never thought that I could love someone with my whole heart-" I stopped because I felt tears rolling down my face.

"Fuck, I'm sorry. Um but, I couldn't think I could love someone as much as I love him. He changed me for the better. Jack is honestly the best dad in the whole world and everyone from the band is great uncles and Ryleigh is a great aunt to him. We just have so much love and support and it's great." I said wiping my eyes.

Ryleigh stood in the doorway listening in and crying along with me. Ryleigh rushed in and whispered into my mic.

"To be fair it's only fair because Logan and Jack are the best parents. They are so loving and we all love that little boy. He is my little buddy. Love him and miss him! Also, hi guys see you later!" Ryleigh said kissing my cheek then hugging Jack.

"And that was Ryleigh Dun!" Jack shouted as I began to laugh and I couldn't help but just smile.
