*9 YEARS AGO*
Adira shivered harshly as she lay under the bare moonlight and the cool air whipped itself harshly against her skin. she stared up at the stars and the small sounds from the running creek about 15 metres away from them calmed her
Lancelot finally breaks the calm silence with his shaking voice "are you cold?" he asks the girl softly and she sits up and looks over at the boy who had his back leaning up against the trunk of a tree
"No, I'm fine" She lied and gave the boy a small sigh but he just rolled his eyes and laughed slightly at the girl
"you don't have to be so tough all the time Adira, come over here" He tells her with a soft laughs and she hesitates for a few seconds before finally standing up and then making her way over to the boy and she stood upfront of him, not knowing what to do.
Lancelot gently grabbed hold of her wrist and he pulled her down into him and she sat between his legs and he wrapped his arms tightly around her, she could feel his warm breath on the back of her neck and she instantly felt her body begin t owarm up from the boys own body warmth that was radiating off onto her
"Does it hurt" He asks her softly and she knew that he was talking about her back
"a little bit but the water healed most of it pretty quickly ill be fine in a few days" She replies softly and looks down at the ground in embarrassment and he already knew what the girl was thinking
"Adira, don't worry about the scar alright, you're beautiful no matter what. The Scar just makes you look tough. Your scars tell a story Adira. They are a reminder of when life has tried to break you, but failed. They are markings of where the structure of your character was welded. They are a reminder that you were strong enough to get through anything that this stupid world throws at you" Lancelot tells her with a soft smile and she just looks up into his eyes and he slowly leans down and places a soft kiss on her lips and they stay like that for a while but pull away and rest their forehead together with small smiles
they cuddle up closer together as they try to keep each other warm and Adira just sighs and lays her head against his chest and listens to the beating if his heart and his loud breathing and Adira began to fall asleep
Adiras face was covered in horror as she looks around at all of the corpses that litterd the ground and she began to carefully look around for any survivors
Fires burned heavily around her and the smoke was making it hard for her to see, her body felt heavy and it aches all over, there was a loud ringing sound that echoed through her ears
"Leave the boy"
Adira quickly looks around for whoever was saying the same words over and over again
"You must separate for now"
"who are you, show yourself" Adira calls out as she stumbles around and she felt tears pool in her eyes as she noticed the cool dead eyes that were all staring at her from the corpses and the corpses began to move and they slowly stood up
"it is your fate to be reunited but for now you must separate. leave the boy and fulfill your destiny. you are strong Adira"
"Mum?" Adira chokes out as the ringing had stopped and the voice had become clearer "Mum where are you, whats happening"
Adira stumbles away as the corpses are now all standing and staring at her and she begins to back up
"you can save them Adira" The voice tells her "but for now you must leave the boy, you are destined to meet again and help protect Britannia but for now you must save as many fey as you can. A war is coming my child, and the boy is corrupt. He needs to see the world for what it truly is before he can become the man he is destined to be"
"I cant leave him mother, he is my best friend. i-i- i love him" She mutters out and she was shocked at her own words but she didn't have much time to thnk about it as the corpses began to stumble toward them and a small girl steps ahead , she had brown eyes and dark blonde hair and she looked to be 8 or 9"
"save us" the girl pleads "save us please"
ella looks over and she sees Lancelot walking around with a sword and he began to cut down more fey, Adira could tell that this isn't far into the future because he still looked the same
"Lance!" she calls out with tears running down her cheeks as she watched him slaughter more fey and he had tears in his eyes as he did it "Lance stop please!"
"You must leave him child" the voice tells her "It is meant to happen"
"NO. He needs me, i need to help him, he doesn't know what he is doing" She replies sharply and tries to run to him but every step she took it was like he was moving further and further away
"this land has been cruel to the two of you and he doesn't know the difference between right and wrong anymore Adira, all he cares about is you, what do you think he would do if a fey killed you?" the voice says and adiras eyes widen as she realised what was happening right now and she looked over at lance who looked completely broken and she could now hear the words coming out of his mouth
"you killed her!" He cried angrily "She was all i had left"
"But if i leave then wont he just kill the fey anyways" She says in confusion
"If you stay, you will die and he will kill all fey, if you leave then you will live and you will be able to save as many fey as possible" The voice tells her in sadness
"So no matter what, people will die" Adira calls out in shock
"Im afraid so" the voice tells her "Leave the boy adira, it is your destiny"
"when can i show him I'm still alive" Adira calls out and she could tell the vision was about to end
"when he becomes who he is meant to be" the voice replies and then Adira wakes up
