Screams echoed around her and hot crimson blood splattered along the trees and bathed into the soil, the air welcomed the spirits of the dead like old friends. Pain. Screams. Death

"others fell to the steel of the grey monk"

"It was him, the grey monk"

"tell me its not him"

Adira covered her ears with her hands but shivered as her hands felt cool and she shakily bought them down in front of her and gasped at the deep red liquid that covered her hands

"Dont touch her"

"not all monsters do monsterous things"

"Help me Adira, please"

"it hurts, make it stop. Please i just want it to stop"

Screams echo harshly through Adiras ears and a ringing also screams through her ears and head

Adiras eyes shoot open and a large gasp escapes her ruby red lips and she tries to calm down and slow her breathing. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath before opening them and she groans soflty as she moves around slightly as she wakes up properly and notices the tight grip that was around her waist, her eyes slowly peel open and she smiles slightly as she is greeted with lancelots sleeping figure. She could feel his warm breath fanning out onto her face and she giggles softly at the light snores that were escaping his mouth and the trail of drool that was running down his face

"Well, how charming" She mumbles sarcastically with a grin covering her features and his grip tightened around her slightly and she could tell that he was cold, the nigth before, lancelot had wrapped his jumper around her no matter how many times she kept telling him not to and that he needed it but he just kept on persisting. Carefully, she wiggles her way out of his grasp, making sure that she doesn't wake him and then she stands up and looks around at the surroundings, everything was the same and she let out a sigh of relief due to the fact that no one had found them or tried to kill them in their sleep or stolen anything, tho there wasn't much for them to steal anyways besides their weapons

The fire that they had used the previous night was out but there was still a small amount of smoke and heat coming off of it, the sky was a crystal blue and there were no clouds. The soft singing from the birds around them calmed Adira as she stepped away from the place that she and lancelot were staying at that moment, away from his sleeping body, she gave one last look at his peaceful face before turning away from him and taking quiet steps

Adira made her way down to the small creek, everywhere they went they made sure to be near water, so most of the time they just followed the same rivers and creeks until they came to a dead end, they stayed to the water so that if anything happened adira could be healed and if adira was away from water for to long, she began to get sick. Adira leant down on her knees and cupped some of the cool water in her warm delicate hands and used it to wipe over her face to get rid of the tiredness that she felt through her entire body and it worked, she felt herself waking up a lot faster, she was calm... but then she began to think about the nightmare that she had had, there were different voices saying different things and she didn't know who they were and she wanted nothing more than to help the person that needed her help but she didn't know who it was and she didn't know how to help them but she felt a great pain in her heart. Adira looked down at the water and let out a large gasp of shock and her bottom lip trembled but she bit down on her lip to stop it

In the water staring back at her was her mother, but she was covered in blood, she looked how she had looked the last time Adira saw her, when they left. the last time that Adira had actually seen her

"Why are you still with him Adira. You will die if you stay with him" the woman growled lowly and her tone was venimous but also filled with worry and Adira just scoffs, having enough of all of this crap

"You act like you care when you are dead, yet when you were alive you didn't give a shit about anyone but yourself and you certainly did not give a shit about me" Adira growls back at the silhouette in the water "And do you really think i give a shit on whether i live or die? You know who i care about? Lance. I care about the fey and i would die protecting them but lancelot is different. I will die for the fey, but lancelot, i live for him. Hes the reason i want to be alive, he is my purpose, you think i still want to be on this shitty planet. The world is cruel, the world is vile and I'm only adding to the sorrow of it."

"there will be a day where someone else will come into your life, they will also be your purpose. Everything happens for a reason Adira, don't forget that. And there may be a possibility that you will have to choose. But at the moment you have no choice Adira, you must leave the boy. He may be your true love but he will not be your only love" Adiras mother calls out and her voice was slightly muffled as blood ran down her face from a wound that was on her forehead

"Im not leaving him" Adira replies sternly and shakes her head "Not now, not ever"

"If you don't leave, the entire fey kind will go extinct" Adiras mother replies sternly "he will fall Adira whether you leave or stay but whether he gets back up again is up to you. Stay, and he will be the start of the end of the fey, but leave and you will be the one to give him his wings that will bring him back from the dark side. You till be the one to save him Adira. You will be the one to restore peace to Brittania. You were chosen as the Avatar for a reason"

"Adira, where are you!?" Adira hears from behind her and she lets out a sigh as a tear rolled down her cheek, she knew what she had to do and she knew that she had to do it soon

"Leave him Adira" Her mother says and then her mothers face is replaced with her own, her own sad reflection was starring back at her, she looked young, innocent but she was far from innocent, she was a monster, a demon, an abomination in the eyes of god, and now she finally realised that... and she didn't care. She was proud, if being someone who serves under the warmth of god meant to kill thousands and thousands of people then Adira didn't want to even imagine a halo glowing above her head, her wings would not be a glistening, angelice, snow white colour. Instead they would be black, like the night sky, like power, like rebelliousness, like strength, like elegance and formality but most of all like death, death to those who killed the innocent... and death to those who got in her way of protecting the people who can not protect themselves.
