they all turn as they hear loud horse trotting behind them and they look to see kaze coming towards them
"Thank the gods you are safe. what did you see?" Nimue asks with worry and curiosity on her pale face
"we have less than an hour before pendragons soldiers reach us" Kaze says and shares eye contact with each of the girls and then she continues on "we cant loose them"
"we cant circle back" Nimue tells her
"i say we stay and fight, i believe we can take them on" The weeping warrior tells them
"The celts built tunnels in these cliffs to escape the Romans. Some of them reach Grimare. Arthur and i used to play in them when we were kids" Morgana says to them but kaze and the weeping warrior are quick to object
"You want me to go in there" Kaze asks in complete disbelief
"Theres no way that i am going in there" The weeping warrior says and shakes her head "And neither is Allison"
"The weeping warrior is right. this place reeks of death magic, it isn't safe for us and it definitely isn't safe for kids. In my land the buhara would burn this place and cover it in salt" Kaze says angirly as she glares at the cliffs "we are fools to stay here"
"we are fools to turn around" Morgana snaps back at Kaze
"I would rather die battling the kings men then dying while battling an evil that we can not see or touch" Kaze says
"And i would rather not die, if we go into those caves there is a very high possibility that at least on of us will die and i don't want to take that chance" The weeping warrior tells them "I belive that the witch still lives in there, waiting for someone to enter so that she can play out the revenge that she has been plotting for all of these years, for all we know she could be waiting for one of us"
Nimue looks between each of the other riders but doesn't say anything, instead she just turns around on her horse and silently trots along towards the cave and the weeping warrior felt angry and let out a harsh scoff before making her horse follow after NImue and the other two girls follow after them
"this isn't a good idea Nimue, thousands of people were slaughtered here due to magic, this land is cursed" The weeping warrior warns Nimue but still nimue decides not to reply
They continue to trot along but then the horses stop and they wouldn't go any further so everyone started to get off except for Adira and Allison
"Im not leaving Maia here and I'm definitely not taking Allison into those caves, you can go in there but I'm not following after you, I'm sorry, if it was just me then i would come after you without a doubt but this child is my responsibility and there is no way in hell that i am going to just let her walk straight into a death tunnel, its murder and it is suicide" The weeping warrior tells them and shecould tell that Allison didn't want to go into the caves just as much as she did "Ive been here before, I've been in those caves, and I'm never going in there again okay"
"You cant just leave and you definitely cant go back, you will be slaughterd as well as Allison" Morgana tells her "You are meant to stay with Nimue, not turn away from battle"
"that is where you are wrong Morgana, i chose to come on this mission with you, i don't have to stay with Nimue, for the past 9 years i have been independent and the only person I'm changing that for now is Allison. Nimue, i will fight by your side in battle but not in those tunnels" The weeping warrior tells them
"Very well then. Just run away" NImue says and glares over at the weeping warrior
"Im not running away" Adira says and then grins under her mask and gives the side of her horse a soft nudge "Im galloping away"
And that was it, Adira and Allison began to ride away, leaving the other three behind, but she couldn't tell if they were leaving them behind for their slaughter or if they themselves were just walking into their own slaughter
"why did you go into the caves" Allison asks softly as they trot in a separate direction that they had came from and where they were first going, they were going to try an go right around the knights
"What do you mean?" Adira asks and doesn't turn to look at the young child that was sitting behind her
"Before, you said you had been in the caves and that there was no way you were going back in there" Allison says as her arms hang loosely around the weeping warriors waist
"You asks a lot of questions don't you little one" Allison laughs softly and this makes Allison grin
"well your life is so interesting and full of different adventures, its hard not to ask questions" Allison tells her
Adira stops listening as the familiar scents filled her nose, fey and fire, the fey were in pain and struggling. "We must hurry, the fey that Gawain and Arthur went out to save are in trouble and so are gawian and Arthur, there is fire"
"How do you know that?" Allison asks her in shock "is it because you're the avatar"
"That is why i can smell the fire" the weeping warrior tells her as she gets Maia to speed up and they run full speed towards the fire and the fey
"And how can you smell the fey?" Allison asks
"That is enough questions for today child, there is going to be a battle up ahead so i need you to be prepared for it, clear your mind Allison and think only about saving the fey, and ill worry about saving you and the fey" Adira tells her quickly
"Whos going to protect you?" Allison asks softy
"Me" Adira replies, after all that had been the answer to that question for the last 9 years
