The weeping monk felt different the next morning, he felt hollow and even more upset. The night before was the first time that he had really opened up to someone in the last 9 years and it felt good to get the things off his chest about Adira but talking about her had also brought back so many memories of the girl and the way that the weeping warrior had just left afterwards had also upset him.
But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get the second last thing she had said to him out of his head
"Soon, everything will work out i promise. For now i must go but we will meet again and i just pray to my gods and i pray to your god that you will forgive me for everything that i have done"
He couldn't figure out what she had meant by it and it was bugging him but he knew that at this moment he had more important things that he should be worrying about at this. He gripped his sword tightly as he tried to clear his mind but then his eyes landed on a small piece of purple fabric caught in a thorn bush.
He walked over to the bush and leant down and gripped the dirty fabric in his rough hands. He carefully observed the fabric as he tried to catch a scent and find out who it belonged to and what direction that they had went. He quickly caught onto the scent and picked up on multiple fey so slowly he and the red paladins that were surrounding him slowly began to walk in the direction that the weeping monk sensed the fey walking away and then he could sense that all of the fey were there
"Send word to father Carden" The weeping monk says as he grabs a leaf off of another branch that was covered in blood, he ran his finger over the fresh blood and looked up ahead of him "tell him that i have found the camp. Ride fast, return with numbers go" he demands to the red paladins
"yes brother"
"Yes brother" the other paladins reply and then they quickly get back to the horses and ride back to the main paladin camp so that they could inform the leader, carden that the weeping monk had found the base that held all of the fey that had been rescued and were hiding from the paladins
"but there are still survivors out there, villages that need our protection" One of the fey say as they look at nimue, they were all standing around a table, discussing how Nimue had found people with ships, ships that could move the fey somewhere away from all of the red paladins
"Cora i know, but as it is, we cant even feed who we have" Nimue says back
"the weeping warrior would find a way to keep all of us safe, she would rescue us all" Cora fires back and a few fey that stood behind her cheered in agreement
"The weeping warrior betrayed us all, she is with the paladins, she does not care about you or your children, or the remaining villagers. She cares only for herself, the paladins and the weeping monk" Morgana says and she steps forward to the table
"Nimue can protect you far more greater than the weeping warrior ever could have, see has the sword of the first fey, she has it for a reason" Arthur says and stands next to nimue protectively "The weeping warrior is gone, all you have is nimue now"
"why are we to trust him?" an elder fey man asks as he glares over at Arthur "how do you know such things about the warrior, its your word against hers and i choose her over you, she has looked out for the fey for years now, you've been here all of five minuets"
"You are to trust him because he has earned it" Nimue says "in blood"
"they're coming" A fey child yells as she runs into the cave and then suddenly all of the attention is drawn to her and all of the fey look at the child in shock and confusion
"Who is?" Nimue asks quickly in worry and the child stops in the middle of the room, completely out of breathe
"The weeping monk. the red paladins. i don't know how many. They know where we are" The child says quickly
"The weeping warrior must have exposed our location" Morgana says loud enough for everyone to hear though most of the fey didn't believe her. They have known the weeping warrior and while nne of them even knew much about them, they knew she was loyal and they knew for a fact that there was no way that she would sell them out, not after all of the hard work that she had done to get them there
"How far?" Arthur asks as the chatter between the fey begins to get loud, they were worried, and at this point in time, they really wished that the weeping warrior was there to protect them
"A days hike" The child sighs in worry and looks nimue in the eyes, both girls eyes were clouded over with worry "maybe sooner"
"we need to fortify our defences" Gawain, the green knight tells them quickly, as he rested his hands on his hips and looked round the room at all of the fey
"Fourtify our..." Arthur says angrily and looks around a the fey who seemed to have some kind of sey in what happened around there "We cant stay here, they will smoke us out like rats"
"can the ships come any sooner?" Nimue asked Arthur as she tried to come up with any ideas though the truth was, she had no idea what she was doing
"They'll take longer if anything" Arthur mutters to her sadly and worry as he looked down at the ground and nimue copied his actions as she tried to think of what to do
"So we need at least six days shelter" Nimue says as she looks over at Gawain
"No, what we need to do is go and find the weeping warrior" Gawain argues back
"the girl is the key to the survival of the fey" An elder woman says as she steps forward "I, along with many others have seen it. Visions, though they are different each time all end in the same thing. She is seen and spoken as many, she has many names, The Huntress. the Argent. The warrior. Storm goddess, Lilith. The saviour" now multiple elders step forward at once and the old moon lady walks in and everyone stared at her in shock "She is the Avatar"
