Adiras head shot up and her mouth gaped in surprise as she hears the familiar voice, her cold body instantly warmed up and she quickly tried to hide the upset look in her eyes but couldn't

"well, princess what are you doing out in a storm like this?" Adira asks but still stays sitting against the trunk of the tree even though the enemy was standing a few feet away from her and could easily kill her from that distance but she didn't even move an intch but her eyes stayed on him

"I could say the same to you, though something about you tells me that you wouldn't like being called a princess" The male says and eyes the girl, he was shocked to see her out here, she was deep in the middle of the forest and she didn't have her horse with her, she was alone and almost no one came to this part of the forest, especially with no company

"well your assumption is correct, now are you going to answer my question... princess" She says and he smiled when he noticed the small bit of humour in her eyes, when he came he could practically sense the sadness, anger and multiple other emotions radiating off her like she was the sun and the emotions were heat rays

"Just going on a walk" he replies and she raises her eyebrows in humour as she throws her head back slightly and a small chuckle escaped her lips

"so the weeping monk just decides that he wants to take a nice little stroll through the dark part of the woods during a violent thunderstorm" Adira chuckles in humour and he nods his head and she could also see the humour in his eyes, which was a very rare thing to see on the boy and Adira suddenly felt lucky, lucky that she was the one that was able to see the humourous and happy side of the man whereas the weeping monk felt overriding joy that he was the one that was able to make the girl laugh

"Well little puppy your owner, carden is probably wondering where you are at the moment, you better hurry up before he goes around sticking up 'missing dog' posters everywhere, though, i hate to admit it, it would be nice to see your face more often" She says with a grin and he just pouts

"Im not a little puppy and he isn't my owner, he is my master, he taught me the ways of god, he cleansed me" The weeping monk says softly and he sits down against a tree trunk as well so that they were both facing each other and standing aa few feet away from each other "and i think i want to stay here for a bit, and i also wouldn't mind seeing your face"

"yeah well, sadly that isn't going to happen and if you want to stay then nock yourself out, got any drinks with you though, i am quite thirsty and if I'm going to have to sit here with you for a few hours, you better make sure that whatever it is you have is strong" the weeping warrior tells him and he just chuckles and grabs a flask out of his pocket and opens it before taking a sip and then putting the lid back on it and sliding it over to the weeping warrior and she happily grabbed it and unscewed the lid before bringing it up to her lips and it went like that for about thirty minuets before the flask was empty

Adira pouts and chucks the empty flask onto the floor with a sigh "the world really sucks" She says with a chuckle and leans back into the tree and looks up at the sky

"yeah, it does doesn't it" The weeping monk mutters and then stares at the girl for a while, admiring her and then he finally figured out why she was out here all alone "They saw you save me didn't they?"

The weeping warrior stops looking over at him and stares him dead in the eyes "What are you talking about?"

"they saw you save me before so they outcasted you, they outcasted you because you defended me" the weeping monk says and neither of the blink or move while they stare at each other and finally the weeping warrior turns her head away and broke the eye contact and she didnt say anything

"Im so sorry" He mumbled out and she looked back at him in shock and confusion, her eyebrows furrowed her her eyes squinted slightly

"What do you have to be sorry about" She asks him quietly

"its my fault that they outcasted you, why would you do that, why would you save me? why would you stick up for me?" The weeping monk asks her and she couldnt read his facial expressions

"Well why not" She asks "it gives me something to do in my free time ya know"

"Dont lie to me. Ive killed thousands of fey and yet you keep fighting to help me even though you knew that it would result in you getting abandoned by the fey" He replies

"Ive been getting abandoned my whole life, its nothing new to me" The weeping warrior replies and avoids eye contact with the boy

"Please... just tell me why, nobody else would protect me like that, are you like my guardian angel or something" He asks with slight humour at the end but he really just wanted to know the answer

"Its my job to protect the fey" She replies and now finally looks in his eyes and his eyes widen in shock as he stares at her and he couldn't believe his ears

"You don't know what your talking about" The weeping monk stutters out quickly

"I know you weeping monk" She replies softly "You're special to me and I'm going to keep you safe, no matter what. I'd die for you in a heartbeat"

"who are you?" He mutters out "My whole life i have been betrayed and hurt, the only real person who has actually ever cared about me died 9 years ago and now you just come into my life and shake everything up, you make me feel things that i haven't felt in 9 years, you make me feel like i actually have a purpose, you make be feel wanted. Im a monster and i don't understand why someone like you would protect me. i, i just don't know what to do anymore, I've met up, I'm a messed up person but I'm trying to get god to forgive me"

"Why would you want god to forgive you" Adira asks the boy in confusion "What is so great about this god that you follow"

"I believe that if i can atone for my sins, then he will bring her back" The weeping warrior mumbles "he will bring back my soulmate, the love of my life"
