"Adira Argent?" Allison asks softly with a giant smile on her face that spread across both of her freckly cheeks and she begna to run the name back and forth in her brain, she thought it was amazing, and while she never would have thought of it, the name really did suit the woman that she had been spending so much time with, the woman whom she had looked up to from the second she first heard about her "What a beautiful name yet different name, its so unique""Adira means strong, noble and powerful while Argent means silver" Adira says and doesnt look at Allison and begins to create small waves in the water around them to get rid of the bloody water. Adira felt like a different person, or maybe not a different person, she felt like the young girl she was 9 years ago and it was the first time she had heard her name said aloud for the past 9 years and it bought a small smile to her face and a warm feeling in her stomach, it was nice and it was unexpected "i am the first argent, and i hope to pass the name along through centuries and be known as the family to save the fey, that is why all of my blades are made of pure silver"
"I believe anyone would be honoured to carry the argent name, especially with it coming from such and amazing and brave woman like you" Allison says with a smile and she shivered slightly as the breeze around them picked up and slapped itself against her warm skin and she instantly felt the warmth leave from her body yet she tried not to show it in her face but Adira could read her like an open book
"You really are a sweet child, i think every woman in life needs a girl like you by their side, they would never grow bored and never feel lonely" Adira says and begins to think about the significant change in her life since this girl came into it
"Come along child, its getting cold, you're going to get sick, lets get you back to the others" Adira tells the girl softly and Allison nods her head slowly, complying to the older woman even though there was still so many more questions that she had wanted to ask Adira and she knew she woudlnt be able to ask them for a while, until the next time they were in private and in such a calm nature. They made sure that they were clean and the two girls slowly begin to make their way out of the running water which was now clear, the blood having washed down the stream somewhere like it was nothing, like the blood of the red paladins had never been shed and there was no war between the fey and the man blood.
Adira began to think about what Allison had said about her scars, how was this possible. the words she had said were the same as what lancelot had told her, the exact same. Was it fate? Was it destiny? Or was it just a big coincidence?
A coincidence, it had to be, there was so many different explanations that raced through adiras head but she didn't want to think about that right now, the memories between her and lancelot may have bought her happiness but along with that happiness it also bought her pain, an aching pain that felt like she was getting stabbed repeatedly over and over in the heart, and even the cleanest an most greatest water would be able to heal the wound
"Can i ask you another question please" Allison asks the woman who lets out a sigh and a small chuckle as she looks down at Allison and both of them quickly pull their clothes back over their bodies
"you just did" Adira replies and Allison giggles lightly and rolls her eyes at the woman and lets out a dramatic sigh
"the tale of the airbender says that when an airbender dies, it it born within the next nation, what nation were you born through?" Allison asks curiously and Adira begins to look like she was in thought for a minute and she didn't say anything and for a while, Allison began to wonder if Adira had even heard her
Adira looks back at the water for a seconds and then looks back over at Allison before finally answering the question "I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure that i was born from the water nation, though my mother was not part of any of the elemental tribes, and she never told me who my father was, she didn't like to talk about him and she rarely even talked to me, but out of all of the elements i have always felt most connected to water, so i assume i was born from the water tribe, which means that the next avatar should be born from the earth tribe" Adira tells the young girl who seems to be calculating and running everything through her head
"What if there is no one from the earth tribe left. No one has seen an elemental for years, they are thought to be extinct" Allison says softly
"I believe they are just hiding, along with the rest of the elemental folk" Adira says softly "they are probably waiting for me to die so they can hurry up and get the next avatar who will actually do good at the job" Adira chuckles but Allison could tell that there was no real humour behind the girls laugh
Allison grabs onto Adiras hand softly and looks up at her with a small and comforting smile on her pale face and Adira looks down at the younger girl with an unreadable look in her eyes
"You were chosen as Avatar for a reason Adira, you are a great avatar, you have helped and saved so many fey and its so obvious as to why you were chosen as the next Avatar, Your Amazing and you need to stop doubting yourself every five minutes" Allison demands and Adira chuckles again but this time with happiness behind it and this made Allison smile
"You really do remind me of him?" Adira says and Allison figured that it was now or never, so she inhaled a deep breathe and then let it go and asked the question that she had been wanting to ask since she saw Adira run into the fire and protect the grey monk
"Its the weeping monk isn't it?"
