*Present time*
"Shit, shit shit shit" Adira says angrily to herself as she gripped on tightly to her white horses Maine as it ran at full speed towards the village that they were heading too, she could hear the screams of the fey from miles away and came as fast as she could but the red paladins were traveling much faster than she had first expected "come on Myla, faster" she cries to her horse and then finally she sees the village through the trees.
the horse takes her into the village and her heart ached as she witnessed the dead bodies of the few that were littering the ground and the burning bodies on the tops of the crosses.
Carden had obviously left but there was still red paladin chasing and killing the fey around the village. Adira quickly threw herself of her horse and some of the red paladins had noticed her now and the red paladins looked at her in fear while the fey had a spark of hope in their eyes they watched the girl who had no emotion on her face and she grabbed her swords tightly in her hands and held them in front of her
"its the weeping warrior" a few red paladins call and they all stop what they were doing and began to run for the girl who was rather short and her long brown hair was in multiple braids on the back of her head, dirt and blood covered her and she looked like a true warrior "kill her"
They all began attacking her but the girl was quick to defend herself an began to attack them and began killing them all one by one with not one ounce of a struggle. the fey all stared at her in awe as she defended them and killed the men who had killed their people
"A girl should not be holding a sword" one of the paladins says and then lights another cross on fire that had a woman on it and Adira stabbed one of her swords into the ground and then all of the sudden heavy rain began pouring down around them and the fires around the village were quickly distinguished
"never underestimate a woman, especially one who could kill you with the flick of her wrist" Adira growls at the men angrily. they continued to attack her and she continued to kill all of them.
Finally, it was over, red blood covered the ground as well as the bodies of both red paladins and fey. The remaining fey came out of their village and ran to her, giving them their thanks but the girl did not seem proud of herself. she Was mad. She was mad at herself, she should have got there sooner and she could have saved so many more of them
"Im so sorry i didn't make it earlier" The girl tells them and then puts her swords away and the rain stops and the sun comes back up "i know a place were i can take you, it is a little far from here but it is a safe haven for fey like us. the ones who have been attacked, i will take you all there"
"We could never truly thank you enough, we would all be dead if it wasn't for you" an older lady says to Adira and Adira nods at her and smiles though nobody knew the girl was smiling due to the mask that was covering her face
"we must hurry incase they send back up or the weeping monk, and i have to go help more towns, gather all of your horses and get as many people on them as possible. We must leave right away" Adira tells them and rubs a kids hair as she runs up and hugs Adiras legs with tears running down her face
Adira picked the girl up carefully in her arms, she had brown eyes and dark blonde hair, she looked to be about 9 or 10.
"What is your name little one and where are you parents," Adira asks her and whips some blood out of the kids face with the sleeve of her black robes
"Im Allison and both of my parents are dead," the girl says quietly and Adira whistles out to her horse and it comes over to them and Adira puts the girl up onto the horse and then pulls herself up and wraps her arms around the waist of the little girl
"You shall ride with me, and from now on I will look after you," Adira tells the girl who nods her head and looks around sadly at her burnt down village.
the remaining fey from the village was now on horses and were following closely after the weeping warrior as they kept a careful eye out for any red paladins
They made it back to the fey safe place finally and the weeping warrior leads them all inside and the fey that were already there stared proudly at the girl who had saved most of them and even more fey today.
"Look the weeping warrior is back and she has bought some more survivors" Multiple fey cheer and Adira nods her head respectively and goes to leave again but she feels someone tugging on her and she looks down to see the little girl from before
"where are you going?" Allison asks her quietly and Adira could tell the girl was scared by the new and unfamiliar surroundings, and the girl had just lost her parents so Adira couldn't blame her for being so anxious
"i have to go child, i must go and help more people like us. The red paladins are going to attack again soon and i need to find the moon folk" Adira tells her quickly and then squats down in front of the girl "I will be back soon don't worry, just go over there and ask that lady to take you to my room when you are ready but you could also stay around here with your people and try and make new friends with the other fey" she points to an older woman over in the corner who seemed to be helping around the place
"How will you be able to find the other fey?" the girl asks in worry and confusion
"I can sense them," Adira tells her and then stands back up "now run along child"
Allison pulls her in for another hug and then pulls away and begins to run off to her people and adira gives the girl one more small look before turning away and walking out of the door
