The weeping monk had his hand wrapped tightly around the harness of his horse as he led his horse which held gawain, and the other paladins into the camp
Father carden stepped out of a tent with a man wearing a black cloak right behind him. Craden advanced forward and greeted the weeping monk who held a blank expression on his face
"You had us worried my son" father carden says with a smile as he embraces the weeping monk in his arms
"is this him?" the unfamiliar man asks which causes both father carden and the monk to turn there heads and look at him "is this the famous weeping monk?"
father carden pats the weeping monk on the shoulder and the monk lookks back at the man in front of him who wore crimison red robes "his holyness has sent Abbot Wicklow to observe us i our campaign against the fey and the weeping warrior"
The weeping monk felt anger and worry shoot through him at the mention of the girl, he wasn't going to let anything happen to her, he didn't even know her and yet he wanted to protect her with his life, the only thing he wanted more than that was to bring back Adira and maybe if he protected the weeping warrior, Adira would forgive him for all of her sins. The weeping monk carefully eyed Abbot up and down and neither of them said anything as they stared at each other
Father carden walks over to the back of the weeping monks horse as he notices the body that was laying over the top of it "So... what have you brought us?"
"the green knight" the weeping monk answers quietly and father carden just grins and steps closer to the horse and excitedly pats on the green knight and laughs "God smiles on us today"
Two paladins grab the man and begin to drag him away as father carden walks back around the horse to stand beside the weeping monk proudly and the the two paladins that had an arm of the green knight wrapped around each of their shoulders stood in front of carden and by now the green knight had regained consciousness and was glaring up at father carden
"oh yes... this one... this one likes to hide up trees and shoot my men" father carden states "one of them died right in my arms on a ride through Minotaur. His name was Peter if I recall. fourteen butcher boy, got a barbed arrow right in the neck. Died, swallowing his own blood, are you proud of that Green knight?"
The green knight doesnt reply and this causes father carden to raise his eye brows "no? no answer? We like that. We have brother salt and his kitchen for the quiet ones"
The green knight doesnt say anything but he raises his head and glares over at Abbot and then black cloaked man makes his way over to him adn leans down to examine his face as he says, "uncanny. He almost passes for human"
"Some can, yes" father Carden says and nods his head and the weeping monk just looks down at the ground and stays quiet but then his eyes shoot up to look at father carden "and that is how they spread. By fire, or by steel you will sing to us. And you will tell us all we need to know about your witch and your greatest warrior, the weeping warrior"
The green knight looks away and makes eye contact with the weeping monk and as gawain stared into his eyes he finally noticed the fear and the hurt, Gawain was confused, did the weeping monk really care that much about the weeping warrior. Gawain turned back to look at father carden
"you want my words priest?" Gawain says lowly and father carden leans close to the green knight
"oh i don, i do" Father carden mocks happily
"Are you sure?" Gawain says and father carden looks at him in confusion "i know many things. Many secrets"
Gawain looks away grom father carden so father carden turn to see what he was looking at and now he noticed the way that gawain was looking at the weeping monk and at that point, father carden knew that gawain knew about the weeping monks secret, about him being a fey
Father carden didnt know what to say for a few seconds but then he turns to the two paladins who had a tight grip on the green knight "take him to brother salt"
Gawain lets out a groan of pain as they begin to carry him away, towards the blind man notorious for causing a lot of pain to fey, he was a messed up man and the weeping monk hated him
Squirell and Allison sat in a tree above the camp of the red paladins
"so youre telling me that the weeping warrior and the weeping monk are long lost lovers, he thinks that she is dead and she doesnt want him to know that she is alive just yet" Squirel says in shock but the two children keep an eye on everyone in the camp, they wanted to save gawain and most of all, they wanted to reunite Adira and the weeping monk, though they just had to figure out how to get the weeping monk back to his old self
"Yes, he went bad when he thought that the fey had killed her... he thought the fey killed her so he wanted to get them back... by killing them, hes broken Squirrel and so is Adira and the only people that can fix them is each other" Allison says "But for now we need to try and get the green knight out of here and then maybe he will help us find Adira"
"I just want Adira to be happy again" Allison mumbles out "and the only way that we can do that is by getting her back with the weeping monk, and if i die along the way... then so be it"
