jungkook and hoseok inspect the crime scene where sulli was found dead on her bed. inspector lee claims that this was a simple suicide judging by the suicide letter and sleeping pills found in the room. hoseok finds the sticker on sulli's suicide letter and both him and jungkook understand sulli was the new victim of their meticulous serial killer.

jungkook is more frustrated than he could ever be and while lying on the floor, finds a little bottle of sedation under sulli's bed.

"detective jung, we found fingerprints on the bottle with the sedation." a young woman came into hoseok's office and handed him the papers along with the bottle that was placed in a clear plastic bag.

hoseok thanked her and she left his office.
"judging by sulli's lipstick stains on the bottle, the culprit used this sedative drink on sulli before killing her..."

hoseok immediately took his computer and opened the special file which had a base of criminal records from all around seoul. hoseok decided to type in mingi's name to check if he had any criminal records and exhaled after seeing he had none.
hoseok searched up 'yoon mingi' in the search bar for fingerprints and got the boy's fingerprint in a matter of minutes. he compared his fingerprint to the one found on the bottle and looked at the result in shock.

"wait what...?" hoseok whispered to himself. "they don't match? what do you mean they don't match?"

hoseok checked it again and the same result came up.
he looked at the screen in confusion. hoseok was sure mingi was the murderer! the earring he found back in that abandoned factory was the proof! but why did the fingerprints not match?

hoseok leaned in his chair and exhaled.
was I wrong? is mingi not the culprit?

jungkook checked up taehyung's schedule and called his stylist. in a few days taehyung was supposed to have a fan meeting so he had to get ready for it. jungkook booked the place for it already and told the staff to organize the stage.

after letting the stylist do his job, jungkook walked him to the exit and then came up to the register table.

"hey, nina!" jungkook called out to the young girl. "where's leeseok?"

"leeseok? he fired himself this morning."

"wh-what? did he say why? what was the reason?" jungkook asked nervously.

"i don't know, I only saw him leave the place with all his things." nina shrugged and went back to doing her work. jungkook thanked her and was about to walk away, but she stopped him. "also, mr. park will arrive here soon to meet up with mr. kim as usual. I was supposed to meet him here, but I have to help kim namjoon with the coffee machine he accidentally broke this morning. he doesn't want for sir seokjin to see it, so he asked me to help him as soon as possible."

"oh my. alright, I'll meet him for you." jungkook responded. "should I guide him to kim taehyung's room?"

"he knows where it's located, but do it anyway, please."
