when hoseok calls, jungkook uses a secret phrase 'pineapple pizza' to make him aware of the danger jungkook was in.
jungkook lashes out on soobin, but in order to keep jungkook in his place, soobin positions a gun to his stomach.

hoseok and a dozen of police officers barge in all of a sudden. soobin says that if everybody puts down their guns, he won't shoot taehyung, but only yoongi understands soobin won't keep his promise. yoongi shoots soobin's shoulder, saving taehyung from getting shot. hoseok arrests yoongi with disappointment, and tells him to never show up in his life again.

after the bad guys got arrested, jungkook and taehyung were left alone. subsequently, both tell their sorrowful childhood stories and end up confessing their love for each other.

after finding out that sooyuk was actually killed by none other than soobin, hoseok almost loses consciousness at the interrogation. the incredible mix of emotions he felt made him feel rather sick, but after the sense of sickness he felt furious... so furious, he had to be held back by a pair of police officers nearby to keep soobin alive. and despite his now broken nose, soobin's resting bitch face didn't change for the rest of the questioning.

there was a certain feeling of heartbreak in the air as hoseok watched yoongi get released. hoseok insisted on locking yoongi up in jail, but despite yoongi's criminal past, he was proven innocent in this situation. soobin had nothing against yoongi, even though he shot his shoulder in this fight, they were great friends in the past who had a lot in common. soobin admitted threatening yoongi.
hoseok asked to take a month off work and general park agreed to it, he deserved a rest for all the hard work he has done, anyway.

"namjoon..." hoseok caught namjoon near the coffee machine, stirring his espresso. "why didn't you tell me anything about sooyuk?"

namjoon felt quite guilty for his actions. he bit his lip nervously and placed down the cup.
"like I've said before, yoongi threatened me..." namjoon said, noticing how hoseok tensed up at the mention of yoongi. "and that day you called me for a coffee, I wanted to tell you, really, but... yoongi threatened me once again that day. i thought he left the city long ago... I was surprised to see him here."

"wait, what? that day? but when?" hoseok asked with confusion.

"it was when you received a phone call..."

hoseok gulped and exhaled, regaining his posture.
"I understand you... and I don't blame you, not at all! but you really could have told the police about it. in cases of threatening we provide the victim with guardians or let them stay at the station with other officers until the case gets solved."

"I apologize." namjoon said.

"it's alright. I'm glad everything is back to normal." hoseok forced out a little smile and walked away.

"detective jung!" namjoon called out. "are you ever going to forgive yoongi...?"

about half a year later...

namjoon placed his wet from the snow umbrella into a wooden stand near the door. after hanging his coat on the clothing rack, he greeted some staff and went straight into his room to change his shoes.
as he was walking down a hall, namjoon noticed some man wiping off the dust near the grand clock. he stood in stupor for a good minute and after falling out of the little trance hurried to seokjin's room.
