it was already dawn at five in the afternoon, but that's what you get in the wintertime. this winter was colder than usual and there was definitely much more snow. it was quite unordinary for korea but nobody complained.

today hoseok decided to go home early, after all, now he was general jung, and had the right to.
as he walked down the snowy stairs he realized it started snowing once again. the snow felt light and looked ever so graceful and dazzling under the yellow street lights. looking down, he noticed a figure standing at the base of the stairs and started walking up to the male to ask if he needed help, but when hoseok got closer he understood who the man was. he stopped a couple steps away.

yoongi's eyes fell upon hoseok who was looking at the elder. he was different now... his hair was back to black, the way it was long before.
hoseok remembered the photo of yoongi in his old ID card. was it the snow that fell onto the dark hair delicately or the street lights that shone with dullness onto yoongi's admirable face features, but something about the elder made him so captivating. hoseok had to admit, he missed... he missed something about yoongi.

yoongi started slowly walking up to hoseok, but as soon as they were less than a foot apart, hoseok turned around, wanting to walk away. yoongi was quick to grab the younger's wrist and hoseok got startled by the tenderness of the grasp.

"hobi, wait."
hoseok swore he felt his heart clench from the sound of a voice he adored so much. but he stayed quiet.

yoongi, after understanding that he got hoseok's attention, exhaled, gaining some confidence.
"let's... let's start all over again, please." yoongi whispered. "from the very beginning."

all of us have lost someone. either it was physically losing or getting emotionally detached from somebody. some lost a family member, some lost a friend, some lost a lover. whether the person was kind or evil, there is no one who didn't lose someone in their course of life. therefore, life is cruel.

and if that's true, then during this cruel, limited period of time... and in a way, in this brief lifetime, the only thing we can do is... live to the fullest.
and even though bad memories stay in your heart longer, sometimes it's easier to let them go in order to be able to move on without pain.

"hi, I'm min yoongi."

and maybe it's better to stop waiting, stop waisting time because we're scared to make the first step. sometimes all that we need to do is make a trust fall into life.

"I'm jung hoseok." he said. "nice to meet you."

once again...
