hoseok finds an old ID in mingi's wallet that shows someone by the name of min yoongi. deciding to check it out, hoseok finds out that two years ago yoon mingi was known as min yoongi and had an endless list of criminal records. hoseok also noticed that someone was always present next to yoongi in the archived photos he found but couldn't guess who that man might have been and decided to find more information later.
the fingerprints on the pen matched with the fingerprints on the bottle with sedation.

hoseok goes to taehyung's mansion to ask seokjin's alibi, but bumps into namjoon on the way and asks him if they have met by any chance years ago, after sooyuk's suicide.

"don't you know jung sooyuk?" hoseok asked. "the... the secretary who worked here but committed suicide years ago."

"um... yes, I know him, we were best friends..." namjoon answered quietly.

"funny how we didn't recognize each other the first time we met... I'm jung hoseok." he stretched out his hand for a handshake.

"kim namjoon." they embraced hands. "jung hoseok? are you by any chance–"

"yeah, I'm his brother. I saw you at the funeral, by the way..."

"yeah..."

"today at work I met a guy..." jungkook ran over the events in his head and remembered the name tag on the boy's suit. "leeseok. he told me that one day he heard how kim namjoon was talking to a janitor. he asked him if he had seen anybody suspicious that day, but the janitor has some weird disease and didn't end up telling namjoon anything; he doesn't speak in general. what I'm saying is, namjoon suspects something just like you."

"namjoon?"

"we must talk to– you. you must talk to him, I can't ruin my reputation."

hoseok's expression suddenly changed after remembering what jungkook once told him. so this namjoon is also suspicious about sooyuk's suicide just like hoseok is? jungkook was right, hoseok and him really had to talk. they were both close with sooyuk so that must help with his case.

namjoon was about to leave but hoseok stopped him.
"namjoon!"

"yes?" he looked a little startled.

"about sooyuk... I think we have to talk." hoseok said and gulped hard.

"about what exactly?" namjoon asked.

"uhm, you see, I work at the seoul police station and–"

"y-you're a cop?" namjoon interrupted and glanced at hoseok with a tid bit of fear.

"not exactly, I'm a detective, but I just wanted to ask you some questions about it because I am a little suspicious about his death... if you know what I mean."

"uh, well.... haha I don't know, I don't remember anything and, you know."

"it's.. it's fine, I just thought we can talk someday..." hoseok was confused by namjoon's sudden change in behavior. does he have some trauma connected to police stations? what was he so scared of?
"it's very important to me. as his best friend I think you can understand me."
