previously on fanboy...

its been 16 years since jungkook lost his parents after a car accident. at the age of twelve jungkook became on orphan, but his neighbors adopted him and forced him to live by their rules which jungkook hated.

hoseok and yoongi spend the evening together. after hoseok accidentally calls mingi yoongi, yoongi lashes out on the younger by choking him. after the realization hits him, yoongi apologizes but still refuses to tell anything to hoseok about his past.

jungkook opened the doors to his house and placed the wet umbrella into the stand. he took off his shoes and stopped upon seeing hoseok sitting at the kitchen table with a glass of wine in his hands. as jungkook walked closer he noticed another glass whoose shattered pieces laid on the wooden floor.

"hobi?" jungkook's voice came out sounding raspy, probably because he has barely spoken today.
hoseok raised his sad, swollen, red eyes and forced out a smile. jungkook cleared his throat.
"what happened?"

"mingi happened."

"what do you mean?" jungkook carefully walked over the glass and sat down next to hoseok.

"it's alright, kook. I know you want to be alone now, don't pressure yourself to stay."

"no its— what the hell is on your neck?!?!?" it was as if jungkook completely forgot about his parents death anniversary after seeing hoseok's bruised neck.
"as far as I know, this is not how hickeys look!"

"it was mingi..."

"okay, what on earth happened?" jungkook asked. "tell me."

"you see, I've always been suspecting mingi... I even thought he was behind all those murders..."

"really? why?" he questioned.

"long story. but one day, I found an old ID of his... and turns out his real name is min yoongi." hoseok explained while jungkook looked at him with shock. "and he... well, he kind of used to be a criminal and all."

"never thought someone like min- I mean, yoongi could be a criminal."

"neither did I. I know the past triggers him but today he crossed the line..." hoseok said while gently stroking his aching neck. "he refuses to tell me his past, saying it will be better for me. and I can't help but die from curiosity. what happened in the past?"

"if it triggered him so much that he was bound to kill a person he loves... this is serious." jungkook pondered. "what are you going to do?"

"I... I love him, jungkook." hoseok cried out. "despite his criminal past and ridiculous behavior, I can't just stop loving him, I don't even know..."

"i understand you, hobi... I'm not a dating expert, but it seems to me like you're in quite a toxic relationship."

"no shit, sherlock."

"but!" he exclaimed. "if he truly loves you back, he'll tell you everything if you ask him to. assure him that it's alright, tell him you trust him and will forgive anything."
