Katniss POV
When I get to Annie's house I open the door and see Peeta. Wait, Peeta?
He's sitting on the sofa staring at the wall. He has heavy circles under his eyes.
"Oh,Peeta"
He turns his head, and as soon as he sees me he embraces me in a tight hug.
"Katniss...",he starts,"Katniss! Where were you! I was so worried! Don't ever do that again. Please please stay!" "Always",I reply, smiling.
We sit on the couch and as Peeta strokes my hair he says,"I'm sorry"
"For what?"
"For yesterday. I knew you didn't want kids and I just-"
I cut him off with a kiss.
"Peeta don't be sorry",I say stroking his soft ashy blond hair,"I know how much you want kids I'm just not ready yet. We're only 17 and the war just ended a month ago. Plus we just got back together,plus we aren't even married!!!"
"Oh, forgot about that",he replies with a chuckle. "Peeta,maybe in the future I will change my mind. Maybe I'll want kids, but for now I'm happy with it just being you and me",I say and kiss his nose.
I fall asleep in Peeta's arms,resting my head on his chest,and listening to the steadiness of his heart, which I know belongs to me...
