Thud. Taptaptap. Thud. Thud. Izuku could hear the Noumu. He could easily kill the Hulk-class and the Spider-class he could hear behind his hiding place, but that would easily attract more. It could mean an Eagle-class or a Pack picking up on his whereabouts, or worse, a Hornet-class.
Taptap scuttle scuttle. Thud. Thud. He was lucky the two he encountered were primarily sight-based. Hulk-classes brain and energies were more focused on physical ability anyway, so he wouldn't have to worry so much about it screeching for backup or any complex tactics - they were only capable of frontal assaults. They had average hearing, no sense of smell, and no sixth sense for detention.
Thud. Scuttletaptap. Thud. Spider-classes , on the other hand, had great eyesight (due to their multiple eyes), poor hearing, decent scent-tracking, and only a sixth sense for ambushes and suprise attacks. They can and will call for backup, and crawl along walls and other surfaces. They have different types of thread they can spew from both ends, and still have arms too. They're light, but less powerful and have generally weak defenses. Unless of course it was the type with the exoskeleton.
Thud. Thud. Thud. Taptap. Scuttle. Thud. He just had to stay still, not move, and wait for them to pass. At least it wasn't a Slime-class there. They were the latest model of Noumu and they were the worst yet. Worse than the Hero-classes; those made from ex-heroes that retained enough knowledge of their fighting styles and quirks to have a real edge. They were effectively trained in combat and tactics, so they counted for majority of the casualties until recently.
Scuttle. Taptap. Thud. Thud. Taptaptap. They were almost right behind him then. Just don't make any noise. Don't mumble. Don't move.
"Come in Deku." His earpiece crackled to life with Mei's voice and fuck he can't answer now! The two Noumu, while not having the best hearing would definitely hear him if he spoke then.
"Deku do you copy?" They should probably come up with some sort of protocol for this situation. He couldn't answer, but if he didn't then everyone else would panic.
Thud. Thud. Thud. Scuttlescuttle. Creak. Oh fuck he really can't answer now. The Ent-class, while made mostly of wood, was highly dangerous in a fight (with its binding capabilities and surprisingly swift movements) and had good hearing too. Even moving his arm up to his ear would be too risky.
Creak, thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. Scuttlescuttle. He just needed to wait it out, without any noise. Knowing he could mumble at any point, Izuku bit his lip.
"Deku, please respond." Suddenly, the movement behind him stopped. Shit. One for All under his skin, ready to go at a moments notice, Izuku prepared himself to run. He could take all three at once if he had to, but any more than that was pushing it, if not downright impossible. If a Pack or a Nest appeared when he was fighting those three he would be fucked six ways from Sunday.
Thud. Oh that was closer now.
Thud. Yup, definitely closer.
Thud. He's going to ask Mei to lower the output volume and make countermeasures against this if it happened again.
Thud. He could now hear the Hulk-class's labored breathing behind the crumbling wall.
"Deku, this is the fourth call out, please respond." CRASH. The Hulk-class's blackened fist went straight through the wall next to his left ear. Izuku fired up his quirk. He couldn't fight, he had to run. Run as far as he could he had to-
