"Alright, it's time now to announce the top 10!" Hisashi didn't see the point in everyone being there. If all of the top ten are there that night, criminals are way more likely to cause trouble. Honestly, people need to think sometimes. "The members are mostly the same as previous years, so we start off with the number 10."

All ten of the heroes were standing on a stage in a line in their new ranking order. Hisashi just wants to be on the couch with his family, just like every other ranking release. Though he supposes that all of them being there that night isn't all bad. The dumpster fire being next to him right now means he's not harming his family. Speaking of-

"Such fanfare is unneeded." Was the grumble uttered from the Flame "Hero". It didn't seem like he meant for anyone else to hear, but both of those flanking him did.

"Don't be like that Endeavor." Came from the blond nuisance in a surprisingly quiet voice. "It's a wonderful time to show the world who their strongest protectors are."

"They could very easily have gotten prerecorded speeches." Hisashi muttered back. "All of us being here is counterproductive. They want to show who the strongest are, but by doing so they take us from where we can do something if there is an incident. The underworld knows this, so they take advantage of it. Big deals, transportation of goods, and the like. That's what happens on nights like this. Happens on the night of the Hero Ball too." Ha! The face All Might was making made Hisashi wish he had a camera. Maybe he has a quirk for that?

"Exactly. They should let us go do our jobs. Some of us have actual important things to do." Like what, abuse your family? Hisashi didn't say it, but gods did he want to.

"Things like this are important too. People see us, brings up the mood." Oh for-

"But why do all ten of us need to be here? It's impractical. If they wanted to keep people's moods up, just bring in the top 3. That leaves the other seven to actually do something with their time. It'll save plenty of time too. Less time here means more time elsewhere."

"Do you have somewhere to be, Musketeer?" The strained voice and smile made it easy to tell what the number one was insinuating. He's retired, thank you very much.

Hisashi just rolled his eyes. "Unlike some people, All Might, there are those of us that have families with young children." Good, he has Endeavor's attention. "I'd like to see them before they go to bed." Hah. All Might looked like he sucked on a lemon.

"Children you say?" The way Endeavor said that made it sound like he was going to eat them. "How old?"

"One is five, the other ten. I think my eldest is in your son's class at school, actually. The one with the blue fire." Oh, he had him. Endeavor was more and more interested in where this was going, just as Hisashi wanted. All Might, on the other hand, looked like he was having the crisis of the century. It was glorious, and this whole event was worth it just for his reactions.

"I also have a son that's five. What are yours' quirks? Surely they'd be similar to yours."

Hisashi nodded. "My youngest has a similar quirk to me, though it is a little different in it's mechanisms. I'd even go as far as to say it's a huge improvement on my own." Oh Hisashi is living. All Might's expression was just getting better and better. "My oldest, however, has a decay quirk. Anything he touches can disintegrate. It's different from both mine and my wife's quirk. He's technically my wife's cousin's son, but there was an... incident. His father was abusive, so Shimura Tenko became Midoriya Tenko." The name drop had All Might pale as a sheet and trembling. His eyes widened even further and his tremblings larger when he made the connection that he was married to his master's niece. Oh it was wonderful. Hisashi was going to remember this for the rest of his life, he knows it.
