"Do you have your notebooks? Your pens and highlighters? Your phone? What about your handkerchief?"
"Yes Mum, I have it all. I gotta go." It was slightly amusing to watch it happen, at least Izuku thought so. It was slightly frustrating when it happened to him, because he was almost late for his train, but having someone else go through it too brought him a smug satisfaction.
"Have fun at UA Tennii!" Izuku's hair was rustled by four fingers.
"Behave, brat." The teasing was light-hearted and accompanied by a smile. "I'm off, see you all later."
"See you later!" He was happy for Tenko. Apparently his brother got one of the top 5 spots on the entrance exam and was put in class 1-A. He was, again, in the same class as Touya. The two were about as thick as thieves, which was nice.
Izuku briefly wondered if Aizawa would be teaching at UA yet. Last time he started teaching around this time, so he wondered if it would be the same this go around. Ah well, he should find out soon enough.
Also, even though Izuku offered to help design his brother's hero suit, Tenko said he wanted to do it himself and the design was kept hidden from him. He was disappointed, but excited to see what his brother came up with. It was time for him to go to his own school, though. He'd ask about his day when they both get back.
Izuku walked in the door to see Tenko sprawled out on the couch. He had a vacant stare, and was eerily silent. "That bad, huh?"
Tenko only grunted in response.
Flopping on the gaps Tenko had left occupied, Izuku made himself comfortable. "Soooo." He started. "Who's your teacher?"
"Some underground pro." Came the muffled answer. "Wears all black, some sort of white scarf."
Izuku just beamed. "Eraserhead! You got Eraserhead! Oh my god this must be fate." Tenko removed his arm from his face to look confusedly at his brother. "Fate?"
"Yup! Fate! It's one hundred percent fate, and you cannot convince me otherwise." Tenko just looked even more confused.
"How on Earth is it fate?"
With a conspiratory smirk and a smug wink. "How indeed."
"Izuku-" The rest of Tenko's statement was cut short by the almost giddy shutting of the younger's bedroom door. Ah, he loved being cryptic.
Dinner that night was the usual affair. The four sat around the table and listened to the day's events. Apparently it was Aizawa's first year teaching at UA, but he was already starting to do the quirk assessment tests. And expulsions.
"You have that bust tonight, right?" Izuku asked his father. They all knew it was coming soon, but they weren't supposed to know what night it actually was. "Good luck!"
A minute sigh escaped his father's lips, but it largely went unnoticed. "Thank you. Though, I kind of hope that vigilante doesn't show."
Izuku blinked at him, confused. "Why wouldn't you? It's free help, right?"
"That is correct, however if he did show up then the heroes on the scene, no matter what their personal inclination, would have to attempt to capture the vigilante."
Izuku just smirked. "Vigilante Act 21XX, Part 3B, subsection A. 'A vigilante may act without restriction or license if two or more heroes on scene permit them to do so, for that sole isolated incident only.' If you and another hero say that the vigilante can help with the bust, then they can help with the bust.'
