Question: top three favorite fantasy creatures?

***

Daniel's POV

"Oh wow, Midnight Pack has nicely trained warriors," I sighed.

"Yeah, but no mate." Ray sighed too. "Get ready for Evergreen?"

"Not now, let our warriors rest. And I need to calm my tiger and my wolf," I ran towards the window.

"K, see ya," Ray said, not looking up.

Typical Ray.

Anna's POV

Tha fuck? How do they have copper ropes?

And a copper whip?

Do they know?

Thomas walked in. "Hey bitch. Yesterday you didn't make dinner for us, and you were late. Now, we got copper so it wouldn't react with your heat powers."

I suddenly heard giggling and whispers behind him.

Thomas turned around, and I smelt a kinda nice smell of caramel. Wait. It's my 18th birthday today!

Was it my mate?

But I don't like caramel.

I saw Ash come in, and Leah holding a small bottle.

Mate?

"You are my mate? No! I, Ash McCormick, reject Anna Miller as my mate." Ash smirked, and I gasped, tears filling my eyes.

Deep down, I've always wanted a mate. I hoped he would whisk me away from this hellhole and treat me like a princess.

I can't believe ASH is my mate. The guy who bullied me ever since 16 years old.

My heart was breaking. I felt sick to my stomach, this pain was worse than the lashes on my back.

Tears race down my face as I race through the trees.

Regret plays on my heart strings, and all the hate I could feel for myself wakens my demons as they scream at me.

I can't believe he is my mate. But still, I am the reason for my own rejection. My body throbbed with every
hurtful thought.

I had messed everything up. If only I disappeared.

I trip and scratch my knee on the forest floor. I sob and hold myself there for a minute.

I step up and stumble back into a run. Tears clouding my vision and I bump trees until finally I break through the tree
line, I stop at the familiar pond's edge and cry out.

My demons scream with me and I put my hands to my ears even though it's all in my head.

"Riley, I need your help. Riley, I don't know what to do." I whisper as I lean my head on my knees still holding my ears.

All I could hear was the voices, telling me how worthless I am, how stupid I am.

How dumb, how pathetic, how useless, how weak, how I should kill myself.

"Riley!"

This time Riley doesn't come when I need her most.

I then look at the pond and throw myself in.

I let my self sink, my tears mix with water.

I'm going to do it.

I grab the old rope at the bottom of the pond and tie it around my ankle.
