Lucien's POV

"Is she going to be okay?" I asked Doctor Fell worriedly. After lunch, Silvia suddenly started sweating, but she told me she was cold. Then she started shivering. I immediately called the pack doctor over.

"I have never seen anything like it. I'm not really familiar with Faeries..." he trailed off. "But I know the basic system. And I have no idea what is happening."

His hands started fidgeting and his eyes looked around us. I growled. "What else?"

He bit his lip and avoided eye contact. I have a feeling I won't like his answer...

"But this seems like a werewolf's first shift," he whispered. "I don't know how or why, but she is showing all symptoms of a werewolf's first shift. The bite might've triggered the shift, but it's rarely possible," Doctor Fell said, pushing up his glasses and furrowing his eyebrows.

I know why.

She is a tribrid, the bite must've forced her wolf to come out.

"But if she is actually going to shift, I'm not sure if she will survive. A Fae shifting into her wolf? Either this will kill her, put her in a coma, or her wolf is going to be out of control."

Once I heard him talking bout my mate dying, my canines showed and I growled lowly at him.

He bowed his head and apologized profusely. I dismissed him so I could be alone with my thoughts.

No, Silvia will not die. She is strong. Not to mention she is a tribrid.

She is strong.

She is strong.

She will survive this.

She will survive.

She has to survive.

I chanted to myself, trying to calm down my wolf.

A scream pulled me out of my thoughts. I immediately rushed into the room where Doctor Fell and my mate were in.

The sound of snapping bones and her screams filled the air. All three of us just stand there and watch in shock.

Doctor Fell scrambled and motioned me to hurry and take her outside. I hurriedly scooped her up in my arms and brought her outside.

Her screams filled the air. I had to control my wolf so he wouldn't do something we'd regret later.

I saw her legs twist, and her neck snap. I winced.

The nose on her face stretched out into a snout and her vision was blurry. The doctor was looking at her in awe. I was worried to death.

Her back arched and her toes curled behind her, everything was twisted and her bones was sticking in different directions, fur covered her whole body. I could tell that she hated this.

She is strong, she will survive this.

A whimper escaped from her snout. It took all my self control to not rush to her aid.

Her body shifted to a beautiful silver wolf.

The only silver wolf I have ever seen.

Her fur was lined with silver strands that shone. My mouth hangs open as I watch her wolf fall onto the grass. Her chest heaving, her fur blowing slightly in the wind.

I get a tingling sensation throughout my body, and my wolf howls inside me. Silvia's wolf then opens her eyes, they're dark and mesmerizing.

Standing onto her four paws, she looks down to them. She takes a few moments to admire in awe. None of us do anything, we all stand back in shock.

Suddenly, she shifts back, her bones reforming.

I rushed to her aid as she falls in my arm. "I'm... a wolf..." she breathed out in awe. "Silver...wolf...?"

I shrugged. "You would be beautiful in any color. What's your wolf's name?"

"Cami," she whispered, her eyes fluttering. The shift is exhausting, all werewolves would know.

"Shhhh, you can go to sleep," I whispered, keeping her in my arms.

"Not so fast wolfies, you guys are coming with me," an authoritative voice rang through the air.

My mate barely lifted her head. "Peri...?"

I saw the High Fae lift her head, nodding.

"And like I said, you guys are coming with me."
