Silvia's POV
When I glanced back at Perizada, she was looking at me pitifully. "Beware, that girl doesn't keep her promises. Don't keep your hopes up."
I frowned. But Crystal seemed genuine. "Why, what happened?"
Perizada shook her head. "Let's go." She grabbed my hand, and suddenly, I became dizzy. She was probably teleporting us somewhere.
"You could've gave me a bit of a warning," I rubbed my head and closed my eyes, trying to regain my balance.
She scoffed. "What's the fun in that? Anyways, what I said before about my unfinished business, I was pretty much lying," she straight up told me. I gaped at her. So I might get killed. Great. "But the first one is pretty boring. It is just a small meeting."
I looked around us. Great, more trees. "Where is your 'unfinished business?'"
"Of course, in another realm." She waved to a tree straight ahead of us. Wow, so unexpected.
Suddenly, the tree was growing larger before my very eyes.
"What in the actual bouncing bananas?" I said slowly as my eyes widened, and my mouth dropped open. The tree trunk began to split until there was an opening large enough for a person to walk through.
Perizada looked at me. "Close your mouth, you don't want any flies to get in," as she stepped into the opening.
I closed my mouth and followed her.
"You, will be staying in this hut. I will talk to the queen," Perizada said sternly. I pouted. Great, now it's going to be boring.
I looked around, realizing that we were in the sprite realm. They were staring at us.
I ignored them and looked ahead. "Where's the palace?" I asked Perizada.
She smirked. She lifted her hand and then suddenly, I could see a small castle far up ahead.
"Did that just happen?" I asked Perizada, my eyes wide. "No castle, and then, boom, castle?"
She nodded slyly.
My mouth probably fell open when I saw a figure coming toward us.
A queen.
A beautiful woman dressed in an elegant, shimmering dark gown walked to us. The sprites parted for her but continued to stare at us.
When the sprite queen stood in front of us, she gave us a warm smile. "Hello Perizada, who is this companion you have with you?"
I left out my hand for her to shake. "Hi, I'm Silvia," I said politely.
She shook my hand. "I am Queen Andora."
Perizada cut in. "She will be staying in that hut when we have a talk. Is that okay with you?"
The queen smiled. "Sure. She is free to roam anywhere in this realm, just not too far east."
Perizada shooed me into the hut and shut the door. Wow, thanks.
Didn't the queen say I could roam anywhere?
I smirked and opened the door again. Perizada and the sprite queen were already gone. As soon as I opened the door, all eyes were on me. I waved awkwardly at them. "Hi?"
It seemed as if I broke them out of their mysterious trance.
A woman with brown hair flowing down her back and over her shoulders stepped forward. She had keen eyes and a pleasant smile. She wore a dress with a scoop neck, long flowing sleeves, and a thin silver corded belt around her small waist. "My name is Diedre. I am the head of my clan, the luminous sprites. Sorry if we were rudely staring. We just didn't expect someone like you to visit our realm, tribrid."
Does everyone seemingly know I'm a tribrid?
Looking at my face, she chuckled. "Like I said, we're the luminous sprites. We can see the darkness and the light in you."
I nodded, as if that made more sense.
"So? Want to see what we do?"
Lucien's POV (grumpy old pig 𓃟)
Clever little Fae, you made sure I wouldn't find you, huh?
I searched high and low, and even visit packs. And when I learned that none of them had seen my mate, I found out that she used a train. So I had to take my precious time to interrogate the passengers on the train.
And then I learned that there was a mysterious lady that was talking to her. And they also walked off together. But anything other than that, no one knew where they were going.
She sure made it certain to erase her tracks. But don't worry, I would find you.
It also seemed as if she erased some memories. The humans that she encountered, I visited them, and when I asked about her and her mysterious companion, they only had fractions of their memories.
Tricky little Fae.
So at the end, that's all I got.
And yesterday, when I entered the library, I found something real interesting. Looks like my little Fae is a tribrid. Wonderful. A powerful tribrid, who is also my mate, is roaming around somewhere with that unknown lady.
And I concluded, that other supernaturals were involved with this. This was the only logical explanation.
So now I have more work to do.
Don't worry my Fae, you'll be back with me soon enough.
