Jen's POV

Today's the day.

The day we escape from this hellhole. Allie whined a bit at the thought, but still agreed to leave.

Nothing important happened anyways. Nikki didn't find her mate, she didn't have any visions either. All I did was fight with Xavier and that bitch Bethany.

Besides, no one will really miss us.

I saw Nikki signal that it was all clear. We crept out, trying not to look too suspicious.

We made it to the border without anyone catching us. Good thing Xavier was in a meeting.

Now, the border patrol...

"Hey! What are you guys doing here?" someone asked. At least there was only 2 wolves.

"Nothing," I blinked innocently, reaching into my boot.

They got closer and tried grabbing us.

I quickly summoned two daggers and stabbed them in the eyes and pulled Nikki past the border.

Freedom!

"Where to?" Nikki asked.

I grinned. "To Samantha!"

Xavier's POV

Crash!

It's been almost a week and we have no traces of Nikki or Jen. It was like they disappeared.

"Sir, you could ask Alpha Fane for help. He's the only one left," my Beta suggested.

I roared. "Of course not! He is just a pup who wants power!"

He nodded and walked out, and Bethany replaced him.

"Oh Xav, don't you wanna come with me?" She smiled uglily.

I scrunched my nose up in disgust. "Get out."

She blinked. "But Xav-"

"I said GET OUT!" I growled.

Bethany frowned and stomped out. Ugh.

I massaged my temples.

Maybe my Beta was right. Maybe I should ask Alpha Fane for help.

"Hello? This is Alpha Fane from Moonlight Pack."

"This is Alpha Xavier, Black Blood pack."

"Alpha Xavier?" He sounded surprised. "What can I do to help you?"

"Well, my mate, Jen left with her friend Nikki. Without a trace of scent. Do you have any idea what might've happened?"

I heard silence and whisperings. Something with "....... disappearing, like.....magic? .........Yours? ........Samantha......."

"Hello? Alpha Xavier?" I heard a she-wolf talk.

"Yes?"

"This is Caroline, Fane's mate. I know Jen and Nikki very well. I think I know where they are."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Where? Can you lead me there?"

"I'm afraid I can't do that, but I could bring them to you."

I growled. "Why not?"

Caroline sighed. "It's complicated."

"I AM GOING!" I roared.
