Part 5- Too Different

Kasey's POV

My life has been shitty. My parents hate me, people think I'm weird, and I move around a lot, so I don't have that many friends. Since my 13th birthday to today, 6 years, I moved 3 times.

Now, we just moved again. I doubt I would make any friends, since I expect to move after two years. I'm not very social, and sarcasm is my best friend and my weapon.

I also have a necklace that I had since I was born.

(SO PRETTY!!!!!!!!!)

(SO PRETTY!!!!!!!!!)

"Go to school you bitch!" My asshole of a mother yelled at me. My father, eating the breakfast I made, pushed me out the door and slammed it in my face.

I sighed. Typical.

Don't worry, its not that bad. They don't punch me until I'm unconscious, although that happened once.

All they do is yell at me, criticize me, and hit me a few times a day.

Not that bad.

Our lonely and abandoned house is near the forest, where no one goes. It's too creepy.

It only takes me a few minutes to get to school, so I always have enough time.

I finally arrive at the school I have been attending for the past few days. Everyone barely noticed me. I'm the kid who stays in the back and doesn't participate. The one who doesn't attract attention, the nobody.

I'm sitting in the back right now, with no one else around me, playing with my necklace. People avoid me, because I seem like a loner. I guess you could call me that.

It would be nice to have some friends although that may never happen. But hey, a girl can dream right?

Suddenly, in the middle of class, a group of boys came in. I scoffed. Our math teacher hates students who are late.

But surprisingly, he let it slide, and they sat down.

The seemed leader of the group of bad boys scanned the room and his eyes landed on me.

His eyes seemed to suck me in, and I couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked.

I shook my head. Why the fuck am I thinking these things?

I felt someone staring at me. Why is he still looking at me!

He grinned and made his way towards me. Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! Why is he coming towards me!? I touched my necklace to calm myself. I wasn't supposed to attract attention! And now that the school's "bad boy" is sitting next to me, everyone's attention will be on me! Gossip spreads around quickly, and I will be the center of it!

I saw his group of friends following him to the back.

He smirked and sat right next to me. "I'm Jace, how 'bout you?"

I glared at him. Ignoring him, I kept my head down for the rest of the class.

When the bell finally rung, I ran to my history class. Thank god I am away from that group!

As I finally arrived at my next class, I headed towards the back, the same spot I always sit in.

I scoffed when I saw JACE sitting at the seat right next to the seat I usually sit in. Is this a fucking coincidence?

I sighed, frustrated. Let's get the day over with.

And of course, god hates me. For the whole day, Jace was in my class. Isn't my luck just horrible?

I glared at the trees as I started walking towards my house. I turned around as I heard rustling.

"Hello?" I asked, annoyed. Who the hell is it!

Of course, it was Jace. What is his problem!

"Stop following me you creep," I stomped away.

He quickly grabbed my shoulder, and I felt weird sparks.

He grinned charmingly at me. "The forest has wolves and other beasts lurking around. I'll be here to protect you. And I'm not a creep."

I scoffed. "Ha, ha. Just go away."

"What's your name?" He asked.

"I'm not telling you."

"It's Kasey, isn't it?"

I sped up. "Of course you would know. Now just leave!"

"Why?"

This guy is really persistent, isn't he? "You made my day horrible, now leave me be!"

He frowned, but a second later he smiled again. "See you tomorrow sweetheart."

I glared at him. "Shut the hell up, and don't call me sweetheart!"

He waved and left. I sighed, walking into the house.

A second in and my drunk father slaps me. Hard.

"What the hell are you doing with a boy?" He yelled.

I rolled my eyes. "I don't know, playing catch?"

He slapped me again. Harder. Yeah, I shouldn't have said that. "You little slut! Go to your room and stay there!"

I sighed and tried not to stomp upstairs. At least my mom was at work.

I laid on my bed and thought about my day. It fucking sucked.
