Jace's POV

"Mom, dad, this is my mate Kasey," I introduced.

My mom gushed and hugged her tightly and my dad shook her hand.

"I assume Jace told you all about us and your family?" My dad asked.

She nodded. "Yup, vampire, werewolves, dark riders, Lucifer. Wait, how does the Lucifer thing work anyways?"

I scratched my head and looked at my parents.

They shrugged. "We have no idea..." they looked at us apologetically.

I grinned at my mate. "Then let's get to work."

Kasey's POV

I threw the book to the ground. "Great, now we're finished with the vampire section. But still no information about my family or Lucifer."

Jace sighed. "What section next then?"

I tapped my chin. "Oh! Maybe dark riders or different shifters?"

He nodded. "Okay, you look in the dark rider section and I'll look in the shifter section."

I looked at the section of books. This is going to take a while...

Dark riders and humans...

Dark riders and shifters?

Maybe. I'll take a look at it.

I flipped a few pages and skimmed the front pages.

Argh! I threw the book across the room and went back to the section.

Dark rider history...

I flipped the pages and checked if it had anything I wanted.

Lucifer! "I found something about Lucifer!" I hollered.

Jace immediately ran over.

"Okay, so someone named Harris was first chosen by Lucifer. He was half vampire, half dark rider shifter. Lucifer found something in Harris that he didn't see in anyone else. Thus, he started the Baldasassare bloodline. He gave the Baldasassares dark riders a horn, which gives them more power, and blessed them with that necklace. Um, so my necklace, in time, would help me shift into a dark rider with a horn. Like a darkcorn." I giggled, and Jace couldn't help but chuckle a little too.

"The necklace would also help lead me to Lucifer. So when Lucifer thinks I'm ready, I'll shift and be lead to him." I shut the book. And that's about it.

Jace hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. I felt strong sparks everywhere we touched.

"You are not leaving me," he whispered in my ear and hugged me tighter.

I untangled myself from him. "Who said I'll leave you? Now, let's look for more, we don't have much time."

I bounced back to the section.

Dark riders and the moon goddess...

I set that book aside. It wasn't going to be much use for me right now, but I'll read it later since it sparked an interest in me.

Aha! Dark riders and the Baldasassare family!

I flipped to the front and started reading. I motioned Jace over again.

"This is interesting... So, the Baldasassare family consists of vampires... we know that... wait! Dark rider abilities! So, when I shift, I will be much faster, I will be kind of more violent, I could talk in people's minds ominously, and there are powers from the horn that are hand picked by Lucifer. Some powers received in the past... mind control, immense strength, the ability the fly, teleportation, summoning, elements,...etc. wow, cool! Imagine getting all of them!"

Your wish is my command. Hah.

My hand flew up to my head and I collapsed to the floor. Jace immediately catches me and cradled me.

What the fuck was that?

"What happened?" He asked worriedly.

"There was a voice in my head," I whispered.

Unknown POV

"So? When are you going to summon her? You said this is unique," my sister said.

I shrugged. "Soon, after she and her mate have more time together."

"Aw, you are such the matchmaker," she said sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes. "Let's just wait it out, it'll be better."

She sighed. "Nope, it'll only be harder to take her away from her mate."

I glared at her. "Just let her be for now. I'll drop hints until the time is right."

She looked at me. "And when will the time be right...?"
