chenle sighs before closing his mouth as he let the girl in front of him applying a clay mask on his face. his eyes followed her face that showed deep concentration, his eyes also began to scan the girl's features
her beautifully sharp eyebrows that are currently knitted together, her long and arched eyelashes which enhances her eyes, speaking of her eyes - as cheesy as it might say, chenle couldn't count how many times he got lost in her light brown eyes
her eyes screams warmth and comfort each time chenle looks into it. chenle's eyes trailed down to her nose which he found cute each time she would scrunch it. another favorite feature on hyein's face chenle really adores is of course, her cheeks
hyein's cheeks are the definition of the word 'squishy', he could spent hours just playing with her fluffy cheeks and the rose hue on top of it just made her even more adorable.
there were a few spots on her face but chenle didn't care because it's normal - some people might find it as a flaw but not to chenle, flaws shows how imperfect you are but that's it,
no one's perfect. everyone is always missing a piece of their puzzle but that doesn't mean they're meaningless. eventually, the missing piece will come to the person, be it a person or a furry companion or maybe it would be a lifeless item such as a book or some sort
it could be anything.
chenle continued trailing down and it finally reached a feature which chenle desires the most, her lips. they're quite plump with a natural reddish tone in it, he knows hyein doesn't like lipsticks so she sticks with lip balms just to moisturize it
"are you done scanning my face?" chenle broke out of his trance and met eyes with hyein's glinting ones. he didn't fail to notice the corner of her lips curling upwards
chenle gave no reply and pushed the girl's face away from him which made her scowl. "give me" chenle had his hand out for the mask and the brush in hyein's hands
"you know how to apply it right?"
"like painting right?"
hyein had a pained smile and nods her head slowly. "it has to be even so do it right" chenle nods before taking the stuff from her hands
chenle stared at the clay mask in its container and couldn't help but get curious of what it smells like so he decided to take a whiff.
"do-" "it smells weird!"
hyein closed her mouth as she shook her head side to side at the male before gesturing him to start. chenle kept breathing in and out so the smell would get away before dipping the brush and started to apply the mask on her face
"am i doing it right?" hyein nods even though she doesn't know how she's looking right now but since she has faith of him, she decided to just trust chenle
a minute passed by and chenle's done with applying the mask. "okay, we gotta wait 10 minutes now" hyein said as she busily store the mask away before washing the brush to clean off the excess of the mask
"woah~ it's drying" hyein walks over to her vanity where chenle is and couldn't help but chuckle at the adorable look on his face
"it's because it's a clay mask" chenle nods as his mouth kept releasing small "wow"s as he felt fascinated by it
hyein's eyes kept staring at chenle until an idea crossed her mind. she quickly went to her bed to grab a certain item before coming back to chenle's side
"let's take a photo" hyein quickly brought her phone up to the front of their faces with the camera app displayed on the screen
chenle posed with a smile as hyein counted 1 to 3 before clicking it several times.
"did it come out nicely?" chenle peeks over her shoulder to see the photos.
"we look cute"
"we do"
the two shared a smile together but when they felt cracks were forming in their masks - they immediately wiped down the smile
hyein shook her head and was about to put her phone away until chenle gripped her wrist
"what?"
"send it to me, i wanna make it my wallpaper"

"it has been a long time since i've seen you hyein"
"it's very nice to see you again mr. zhong"
the ceo gave a warm smile towards the girl before nodding his head.
"chenle has been treating you well i suppose?" hyein awkwardly look towards chenle who only motioned her to nod her head which she obeyed
mr. zhong noticed the situation and let out a light chuckle, "i hope it's not the opposite" hyein only smiled towards the ceo before diverting her eyes elsewhere as her fingers fidgeted together
she was heaps nervous. even though she knows mr. zhong from a long time but she could never throw away the nervous feeling being around him
she could sense the superior aura around him which made her feel very small.
"hyein"
"yes, mr. zhong?"
"i need to speak with chenle for a bit so i hope you don't mind us excusing to my office"

"you know what i'm going to talk about right?"
"yes"
chenle's eyes bore to the older male's figure sitting comfortably in front of him in his leather luxurious chair.
chenle can't count with fingers how many times he's been through this moment and every time he goes through this, he feels like dying slowly by slowly
"meet her in Bistro Baron tomorrow, 3 pm - don't be late"
chenle was about to answer but immediately close his mouth shut when he saw his father wasn't finished talking
"i'm not going to tell you who it is so i hope you'll be bedazzled as soon as you see her"
chenle didn't notice a lump growing in his throat making him unable to answer so he closed his eyes momentarily as he gulped down before answering,
"yes, father"
