chenle calmly released the breath he didn't even realized was being held until he finally exited the house without bumping to hyein. the male quickly walked towards the garage and pushed a button right on the wall to open it
his eyes immediately met with a few fancy cars right in front of him. he purses his lips into a thin line as his eyes scanned the area to find which car he wants to use for today. his eyes stopped on a beautiful black lambo and a wide smirk crawled up his face as he approached the car - not forgetting to get the keys first
his thumb pressed the key which made a quick beep coming from the car indicating it was unlocked. chenle slid inside and started the car and of course, not forgetting to buckle up before exiting the garage and on to the road
his right arm swiftly moved the steering wheel as he made rights and lefts. his other hand had its elbow resting on the side as his fingers kept brushing against his lips with his brows knitted together.
he was deep in thoughts.
his scheduled blind date is today and as usual, he wasn't stoked at all. he desperately wanted to just stay at home and hangout with hyein instead but he could never go against his father's words.
thinking of the thought hanging out with hyein brought other thoughts into his mind such as,
'is she awake already? wait no it's still 11 am'
'wait- did i leave any food back there?'
'i wonder what she'll do today'
hyein doesn't know chenle has a blind date today heck, she doesn't even know that he's out for the day. chene didn't want to tell her, he didn't want hyein to have any wrong thoughts about him
till' this day, hyein still hasn't known anything about chenle being sent to arrangements and chenle doesn't want her to know. he thought if hyein knows, their chances of ending up together will just disappear because chenle knows for a fact, hyein will for sure back down
a heavy sigh escaped chenle's lips as seconds later he finally arrived at the place and quickly find a parking spot. chenle turned off the engine before leaning back to his seat as he felt he didn't want to move at all
he just wanted to stay in the car or perhaps just make a u-turn and happily go back to see hyein. a low groan escaped his lips before he quickly checks his reflection to make sure he look decent enough
after checking his reflection, the male got out of the car and pressed the keys to lock it before making his way inside the bistro. the waitress immediately took notice of the male and went to approach him
chenle told her about the reservation under his father's name and the waitress gestured him to follow her upstairs. chenle quietly walked behind the waitress as his eyes scans around the place, it wasn't that fancy nor plain
it was the right amount of simple yet appealing. then chenle's eyes caught a figure sitting right beside the window and he immediately know that she was his date since they're the only ones upstairs besides the waitress.
the girl glances to the side and gave the male a warm smile as chenle quietly approached her.
'might as well do this quickly so i can go back early'

"so.. nabi, which school do you go to?" the said girl chuckled at how awkward chenle sounded before calmly replying, "i go to cheondae high, what about you?"
"i go to neo high" nabi's eyes twinkled at hearing his answer, a delighted smile was seen on her face as she said, "then i guess we're going to meet soon"
chenle's eyes rounded at what she said, he didn't understand what she meant and nabi took notice of the confused look on chenle's face which made the corner of her lips curled higher
"isn't your school holding a sport and arts competition soon? my school's going to participate"
the realization of their schools being 3 blocks away finally dawned upon chenle as his mouth slowly opened before nodding his head. "i kinda forgot about that" the male sheepishly smiled
the two became silent as neither of them didn't have a clue on what to talk about but thankfully enough, a waiter came with their foods which brought a wave of relief to the two teenagers
the two teenagers started their meal with silence enveloping around them, only the sound of utensils hitting the plate with quiet sounds of food being chewed were heard.
nabi was peacefully eating her meal and she couldn't help but notice how unusual chenle's acting. she rose a brow at the sigh of him eating so fast, it was like the male's being rushed. a thought crossed her mind which brought an amused expression on her face before she slowly put her utensils down
she interlocks her fingers together as she put her elbows on the table with her chin resting on top of her joined hands. "chenle-ssi"
the said male stopped chewing and still kept the food inside his mouth making his cheeks puffier, he rose his head and was to be faced with a smirking nabi
chenle suddenly grew nervous as he slowly swallowed the food before replying, "yes?"
"what made you agree to this blind date?"
