i just hope that none of it was true, like the assault and the idols that were said in the news thingy

but if it was true... idek anymore honestly

chenle froze at nabi's sudden question. he didn't expect her to ask him a question that was the top question chenle badly wanted to avoid

he couldn't possible reply, "i was forced to" - that's just going to put a bad name for his father. he rarely gets questions like that and he already hoped that nabi wouldn't ask him that

but fate says otherwise

"hmm? cat got your tongue?" nabi purposely had a little bit of a tease at the end of her tone which irked the male and that was clearly seen on his face. nabi chuckled before leaning back as she grabbed a tissue

chenle's eyes followed her actions as she wiped the corner of her lips with the tissue before gently placing it down on the table. nabi still had the smile on her face as she said,

"if you're not going to answer it then i'm going to tell you why i agreed to this" chenle stayed silent and nabi took it as her cue to continue to talk,

"i don't know about you but i absolutely had no interest coming here"

and once again, chenle froze at what she said. his widened eyes bore into nabi's even though she was looking elsewhere. nabi sighed as she stared down to the passing cars on the road before turning her gaze towards chenle

the blank look on her face was quick to be replaced with an annoyed one as she shocked chenle again with her words,

"who in the world would want to get engaged at this age? i haven't even graduated yet! i really don't understand adults"

nabi closed her eyes as she felt disappointed of herself for making a sudden outburst, she let out a heavy sigh as her hands crawled up to cover her face momentarily before placing it down,

"sorry.."

"no, it's okay i.."

nabi raised her head to meet his gaze and was surprised to see a smile on his face. "i get what you mean"

chenle closed his eyes while taking a deep breath as he calmly exhaled without the smile leaving his face. he opened his eyes and met gazes with nabi, the girl had a brow rose as she eyed his smile that's slowly by slowly getting wider

but unknowingly, chenle's next words also brought a big smile on her face

"i never thought i'll say this but... i'm actually glad i came here"
