they continued to watch coco under the dimmed lights as the cozy atmosphere envelopes around them. with chenle's arm around her waist and hyein's head laid on top of his chest as their legs are tangled together under the thick blanket, their pressed bodies created the warmest sensation they could've ever felt.
they were too immersed in their movie night to the point, they didn't notice that the outside world began to light up.
hyein's droopy eyes glanced at the light seeping through his window which brought her attention to the clock that's right beside the tv and to her surprise, the clocked showed the number 3 with the letters AM beside it
'no wonder i feel like shit.. it's been 6 hours'
as much as hyein wants to close her eyes right now, she couldn't because the movie's about to end and she can't miss any part of her favorite movie. she blinked her eyes repeatedly to make the drowsiness go away as little yawns escaped her lips
hearing her small yawn, chenle who was also a bit sleepy began to caress her hair as he softly asks, "are you sleepy?"
she knew if she showed him her half-lidded eyes, he would tell her to sleep instantly so without any movement, she wordlessly shook her head
"okay"
he knew that was a lie. he has lived with her for a few months and during that time period, he got to learn what kind of a person min hyein is and he most definitely knows that 3 AM is far from her sleep schedule
a thought crossed his mind as his ears perked at hearing a familiar tune coming from the tv, his eyes flickered towards the tv to see Héctor singing his self-written song to his daughter,
chenle silently clears his throat before beginning to continue caressing her hair as he started to sing along with Héctor
"Remember me Though I have to say goodbye"
hyein's ears perked at hearing a voice singing from behind, she briefly looks back to see chenle already staring at her as his lips continued to sing the song
"Remember me Don't let it make you cry"
finding comfort in his voice as chenle's delicate fingers continued to run through her hair, hyein began to get drowsier than before. her eyelids were barely strong enough to stay open as her breathing started to get slower.
"For even if I'm far away I hold you in my heart"
but hearing certain words from the song made all of the drowsiness disappear, hyein's eyes shot open as her body stiffen which he noticed,
