i honestly dk how to characterize hyein..

"huh? wait- what do you mean? what did i say last night?! and who's the famous guy with red ha- wait no- first! tell me everything I've said las-"
"geez.. quiet down"

"i'll let go when you're calm" hyein's calm expression was a contrast to the frantic expression all over chenle's face. chenle broke off their eye contact as his eyes traveled down to hyein's palm over his mouth as if he was gesturing the girl to retreat her hand away

hyein waited a few seconds more before releasing her palm off of his mouth as a sigh escaped her lips, hyein leaned away as she crossed her arms while looking at the male who was busy wiping off his lips

"so~ where should i begin?" hyein teasingly looks up as she raised her pointer finger to repeatingly tap her chin which made the male even more impatient.

"from th-"
"how about you tell me first why'd you drink hmm?"

chenle became nervous but he was quick to brush it away by clearing his throat awkwardly before replying, "it's uhh.. a monthly thing we do"

hyein snorted as she felt amused at how dumb his reason was. "fine- then tell me first why were you acting all quiet yesterday? and why did you ditch me after practice?"

chenle became 5 times worse nervous as his mind started to think of any logical reasons but his mouth acted first, "i already answered your first question, shouldn't you tell me first? everything I've said last night"

hyein let out an exasperated sigh as her brows were furrowed before nodding her head up and down while breaking off their eye contact. chenle pursed his lips as his mind kept scolding his self for being an idiot over and over again

"you told me you want to meet 'stephen curry- sunbae' in your warrior's underwear so he'll notice your undying love for him" hyein didn't mind his shocked expression and keep continuing to spit out nonsense as payback

"oh- you also wanted to cook him your special curry recipe and ride dolphins with him in your pool" hyein diverted her eyes back to chenle and almost burst into laughter when she saw how horrified his expression was

"i-i.. i-i.. s-said .. all o-of.. th-"
"well~ that's the least embarrassing ones"

"tHERE'S MORE?!"

hyein shut her eyes as her forehead got wrinkly from the annoyance building inside of her. "can you please keep that loud voice all by yourself?! i don't wanna go deaf"

"you didn't say anything else besides that" lies.

"r-really?"

"yes" lies.

chenle let out a relief sigh before nodding his head, he felt relief he didn't say anything about his arrangement or .. his feelings towards hyein. hyein on the other hand, started to regret why she didn't just tell him the truth

but that regret was quick to be washed away when she recalled how chenle dodge her questions earlier. hyein unconsciously nods at her thoughts and was about to give a pat on her shoulder for her great thinking until she felt eyes boring into her

hyein slowly diverts her eyes to the male and rose a brow, "yes?"

"who was the famous guy you meant earlier?"

hyein's brows slowly knitted themselves together as she felt confused by what he meant until realization dawned upon her. "moon taeil, you don't know him?"

hyein dramatically gasps when she saw chenle shaking his head side to side. "haechan's children?? the famous band?? he's a member there, the one playing the keyboard while also playing a harmonica?? seriously?! you don-"

"am i supposed to know him?" hyein once again let out a dramatic gasp but this time, she had a hand over her heart as she leaned forward. but being the stupid girl she is, she leaned too far and sent her falling backwards

but thankfully enough, chenle was quick enough to grab a hold of her hands to stabilize herself back on the seat. as soon as the girl was able to stable herself, chenle released his grip off of her and had an unamused look while hyein childishly smiled at him

hyein stun herself with her next action, she leans forward so their faces would be a lot closer making chenle flinch. hyein giggled as she wore a teasing smile which got the male all cautious

hyein didn't know where all of this confidence she's getting from but she's happy with it and to top it more, she double stun herself with her next words

hyein rose a finger as she slowly said, "looks like.. I'm falling.. for you" at the end of her words, hyein poke his chest lightly as melodious giggles left her lips

chenle froze. his eyes slowly scans the girl's expression and he felt frustrated he couldn't tell what it was so he tried to compose his self by looking away and replied with a monotonous tone,

"i should've let you fall over"

"geez, you're so mean"

hyein plops herself on the bed as she felt stuffed from the pizza she just had. her hand rose to stroke her stomach as she kept complimenting it,

"you eat so well~"

in the middle of her compliments, thoughts crossed her mind which stopped her actions as her eyes bore to the ceiling so she could focus a lot better

she recalled the events moments ago before the pizza came and couldn't help but chuckle at remembering how flustered chenle's face was when she lied to him about what happened during his drunken state

then she moved on to the moment when she leaned forward to close the gap between their faces. hyein wasn't dumb, she knew why she did that - she's starting to show her real self to him

she noticed her sudden change of act around chenle. at first, she was all shy and kept blushing every time they talk or interact but along the time she spent living in his house, she grew to be comfortable around him and she got to know him better which adds more to the confidence she's building up

of course, to everyone - it must be all good for you to get comfortable around people quickly but to hyein, it was a bad sign. the more comfortable she gets, the easier she gets attached

and once she's attached, it will be hard for her to stray away

especially if it's a male. once she's attached, the easier for her to fall in love. hyein never like this trait of hers, she tried many times to push it away but it was like it was buried deep inside of her heart and mind which made her to the person she is

a sigh escapes hyein's lips as her mind continue to recalling the moment she teased him,

"looks like.. I'm falling.. for you"

"-again.."

hyein knows exactly what's going to happen to her soon,
