Mike closed the door to his room in anger, Elton jumped at the sound waking him up from his nap

"What's wrong?" He asks, Mike sighs as he sat next to him, he cannot believe what had just happened, he thought that things will just work out but now...

"It's nothing, i might be gone for awhile" he says, Elton tilts his head in confusion.

"Where are you going to?"

"I've been punished for wanting to cause harm to Toby" he replied making Elton gasp, why would his mate cause harm to little Toby....?

"Did...did you do it?" He asks wearily, to his dismay, Mike nods honestly, Elton sighs.

"The Black moon pack is not a harsh pack, I'm sure they gave you garden work or something" he says, Mike now sees the error of his plan, him introducing a new pack law backfired on him.

"Actually....i introduced a new law...a military one and the alpha used it against me" he said defeated, Elton face palms.

"This is what you get and why are you even meddling in the pack leadership status, you already have a position why do you want more?" He asks in frustration, Mike avoids his gaze, he cannot bear to tell his mate the truth, the truth that will eventually lead to his death, so instead he came up with a lie.

"Forgive me for trying to make sure our pack remains intact and how dare you an OMEGA tell me a BETA what is wrong and right" he said in anger, Elton scoffs.

"What kind of Beta bends over for his omega"

"We're gathered here today to enforce punishment to a fellow pack member....Mike, step forward" Dan says. The pack has gathered in the ceremonial area in the pack, Taylor had made it a place where the pack will gather if he wants to make an announcement, it was just a hall where they can stand and a stage where the alpha could see his members clearly.

Mike steps forward, other wolves were confused to what is happening and to see that Mike was about to be punished made things more confusing.

On the stage, Toby, Benjamin and Dan stood there, Mike almost scoffed seeing the omega standing right in the middle of the betas....just like Taylor.

"Mike, do you confess that you wanted to cause harm to the alpha's son over a petty issue" Benjamin asks, his voice booming with beta confidence, Mike closes his eyes and nods making the whole pack gasp, Benjamin smirked at the corner of his lips, he feels like Mike has been given too much freedom and using this new law against him will surely scorch his ego.

"Mike, we the Betas of Black moon pack hereby sentence you to the dungeons, you will receive no food or water for the next 3 weeks and so shall it be" The two betas said at the same time, the members of the pack bowed in respect, Mike in defeat nods.

"Ever since Alpha Taylor died, the pack has never been the same, i didn't know we had dungeons until now" a woman said to her friend, Dan sighed hearing this as he passed by, the lady was right, things have changed and he wonders if that's a good or bad thing for the well being of the pack, he gazes at the clouds.

"Dear Moon goddess, guide us on this rocky road ahead of us"

"Thanks my boy" Max said taking the cup of tea from Toby, Toby smiles and sits next to him, today Max seems a little better than the few days that passed, his skin is back to it's healthy glow and Toby feels relieved.

"No problem dad" He says, Max's heart leaps hearing Toby call him dad, he can't help but chuckle at the thought of Taylor squealing if he heard it.

"So, how's Nate?, don't you get mated yet boy, you're still young" he says sternly,Toby nods and laughs

"I know, i just turned 16 so I'm in no rush" he says, Max gasps.

"You became 16? When? Did you tell anyone?" He asks, Toby sighs and shakes his head.

"The day we buried Taylor was the same day as my birthday...there was no reason to celebrate it you know" he says, Max holds his hand and smiles.

"I'm sure he's feeling bad about it wherever he is, don't worry, the next birthday will be different" he says reassuringly, Toby nods.

"Drink up, I'll see you later" he gives Max's forehead a kiss and skips to the door. Max smiles at him.

"See you later....son" he says, Toby smiles in joy and closes the door.

"3 weeks without food and water Mike! What on earth made you come up with that law huh?" Elton shouts, they were in the dungeons, it was dark and cold, the bars made of fresh silver, so no one could escape.

Mikes sighs hearing his mate rant, he needs to think and all he gets is this whiny b-

"I'm talking to you!" Elton says banging a chair against the bars.

"Will you shut up I'm trying to think here!" he yells, Elton gasps, he stomped away and slammed the door shut, Mike sighs.

"When i get out of here....i will make this pack mine....trust me"

Her gown flowed as she walked through the hallways her servants bowing as she passes by, she stopped at the white door, she smiles and knocks.

"Come in"

Her smile widens as she opens the door, the tray she was carrying was placed on the small golden table.

"You're finally awake"
