The car ride back was silent, Mike's body in the back was acting as a conversation barrier for them.

The car stopped infront of the pack house. Rita sighed and turned off the engine. She turned to face Taylor.

"Taylor...i know it won't help much but...you avenged your daughter...be proud of that" she says. Taylor nods silently. Max helped him out and they walked inside the pack house.

Benjamin and Andy were waiting for the alpha couple to return, Toby and Nate were in their room since Toby was in heat at the moment.

The front door opened revealing Rita along with the alpha couple, Benjamin walked up to her.

"What happened?" He asks, Rita shakes her head.

"The evidence is in the back of the car" she says and walks away, after what happened today, all she wants is to take a long bath and a tall glass of wine.

Andy walked over to Taylor, he saw the blood on his clothes and he knew that Mike was no more.

"Are you okay?" He asks. Taylor looks at him.

"During the fight..."

FLASHBACK

"Autumn let me do it, I need to do this"

"I understand go ahead"

He used the technique the goddess helped him learn, the technique was so fatal that even the inner wolf would die on impact. His hand went right through the beta's chest plate and straight to his heart, he felt Mike's wolf thank him for freeing him, it showed him flashbacks of how he was treated by his human, in an act of anger, Taylor's hand crushed the beta's heart with his hand.

END OF FLASHBACK

Andy gasped in terror, he never heard of such a thing before, even the previous royal wolves didn't have the ability to talk to someone's inner wolf.

"It's over now, no need to dwell on it" Max says dismissing the topic, he helped his mate to the elevator.

Benjamin turned to his mate.

"Do you think they'll be okay?" He asks, Andy nods smiling.

"They've come so far, this is just a little bump along their love journey."

That evening, Vera was in the hospital morgue cleaning Mike's body, she slapped the dead body.

"I hope you rot in hell you horrible person" she says and stuffed him inside the cold cabinet.

Max came out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist, he found Taylor in bed wearing nothing.

"Taylor...are you in heat?" He asks, Taylor shakes his head.

"I want us to celebrate winning our first war" he says crawling on the bed, Max smirked and dropped his towel.

"Are you ready for me pup?"

"Yes daddy"

Rita choked on her wine as she heard the sound of moaning above her room.

"What in the..." her door opened and Nate came in, he looked panicked.

"What's wrong with you?" She asks, Nate blushed before answering.

"Toby's parents are doing the thang thang and by the sound of it Max is a bdsm type of guy" he says making his sister laugh.

"It's what a married couple do Nate, you'll soon do it with Toby hmm" she teases nudging him. Nate blushed and huffed.

"Hmph! They should keep it down my boyfriend is trying to sleep" he says, Rita smiles.

"You guys do make a cute couple though, Toby is going to he a great addition to the family"
