It went quiet, Andy and Mike in a stare off, Andy smirked at him and Mike's fear only increased.

"Mike? Murder? I'm confused" Bill said across the room, Andy sighed and turned to him.

"I saw him swat a spider with a broom earlier on, he's a murderer" he said. Mike sighed in relief, he knew he had his tracks covered but the chance of being seen by an outsider was something he's hoping it doesn't happen.

"Where's Max?" Benjamin asked, Toby looked up from his phone and looked around the room.

"Maybe he's in the office" he said, Dan shook his head.

"Last time we saw him he was outside, he said he saw Tay-" he stopped himself when he heard the teaspoon drop to the floor.

"He saw Taylor?" Luke asked coming out of the kitchen, Toby looked at Dan.

"Tell us what happened"

"Lolo, please, I'm sorry" Chad begged, him and John had been spending a lot of time with their mate and it seems like Lolo was not giving them the time of day, he only spoke when Dan was present. Lolo sighed looking at his mates.

"It's okay, let's not talk about it anymore okay" he begged, they nodded and hugged him.

"But if we're being honest, it was fun" John said earning a smack to the back of his head, he chuckled lowly.

"I said let's not talk about it anymore" lolo demanded.

"Yes sir"

Max walked through the door, Toby ran up to him.

"You're back" he sobbed, Max felt bad for disappearing, he hugged Toby tightly.

"I'll never leave you" he whispered, memories of him telling Taylor the same thing flashed and he smiled sadly.

"Dan told us what happened are you okay?" Andy asked walking towards them, he handed Max a cup of tea.

"Yeah, I'm okay, if it happens again I'll let you know though" he smiled taking the cup.

He took a sip

"Oh that's hot" he handed Andy the cup back making him laugh.

"Here mine is warm" Mike smiled handing him his cup, Max took it and went for a sip but Andy stopped him

"So i heard about the school you're building how is it going?" Andy asked, Max smiled placing down the cup on the counter.

"It will be finished in a month and we decided to name them WILSON ELEMENTARY and WILSON HIGH" he smiled, Benjamin and Dan smiled as well hearing the news.

"I can't wait to start school again" Toby said sarcastically earning a laugh from his stepfather.

Mike looked at Andy with a side eye, Andy was busy talking with Max to notice the stare but someone did though.

"Why are you looking at him like that?" Elton asked, he was starting to get jealous, Mike sighed.

"I just don't trust him, anyways let's leave them, i have a surprise for you" he winked making Elton blush.

"Goodnight Toby" he kissed his forehead, Toby smiled.

"Good night Maxie"

Max switched off the lights and closed the door and went to his room, Taylor's scent was heavily present in this room, it always calmed him down.

He went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth, he looked himself in the mirror and chuckled at his reflection, he hasn't shaven and he has bags under his eyes.

"Taylor would slap you right now" he chuckled grabbing the razor.

"What do you mean he knows something? If anyone finds out i worked with you on this it's over for us"

He sighed.

"Will you calm down, no one knows about it and I'm sure that new advisor is blind as a bat when it comes to things like this"

"I hope you're right Mike because if we get caught I will expose you, you hear me"

Mike rolled his eyes.

The following morning, Max woke up early, he was in his office with Andy.

"It's just a suggestion, talk with your betas about it and see how it goes" Andy said, Max nodded his head and smiled.

"Guess you were right about offering help, sorry for doubting you" he said, Andy chuckled.

"No problem, I'm just glad to help out"

There was a knock on the door,

"Come in"

The three betas walked in, they were shocked to see Max looking fresh and clean.

"Someone is looking after themselves, finally" Benjamin teased earning a laugh from the people in the room.

"Thanks i guess, Andy and i were talking" he started.

"And?" Benjamin said anxiously, Andy smirked.

"The alpha and I decided that the betas will be required to seek for jobs as well" he said

"That makes sense" Dan said Benjamin nodded, Mike however scoffed.

"We have millions on the pack account, why bother"

"That is Taylor's money and he's dead so that means his belongings go to his next of kin, which is Tammy and Nicki"

"This is not fair, i risked my life for this pack and what do i get nothing, NOTHING!" He stormed off. Andy watched the chair Mike sat on.

"Looks like someone exposed himself"
